    Need a girlfriend ?help?

I want to ask this one girl out but I havent worked up the nerve yet. Any advice from some of you older dudes would be great. Btw I'm 14. Does the poetry and romance crap really work? Just Curious. Advice would be great.

Most chicks will quaff at the romance poetry ****. All you need to do is be yourself and have confidence. Look at it this way al she can say is "no". So what if she says no you can just go ask the next chick around the corner. Hehe well maybe not. But seriously so many people fear rejection when all it is, is a simple 2 letter word. It's not going to hurt champ, trust me, and hell if she says "yes" then your laughing.

Act like yourself. If you're into poetry, then go for it. If not, don't do it. No matter how successful your game face might be, if it's not you, one (or both) of you will end up unhappy. Sooner or later you'll resent having to act like a different person, or she'll find out who you really are and end up resenting you.

Be honest. If it doesn't work out it's much better than hating the relationship later.

Just like they said...confidence is the key (she'll probably be just as nervous as you are anyway). Also don't make up stories to tell them, women somehow sense such a thing easily, with devastating results.

Be confident, be honest. These are the most important things.
I usually tell myself "faint heart never won fair lady...let's get it on!" before i approach a woman, and it helps a lot.

Definitely do ask her out. Even if it doesn't turn out good it is a very important lesson to learn. The first three or four times will still be tough, but then it will become a normal thing for you to ask girls out - and that's what it should be.

A mod lock is where a mod (or in this case admin) comes and locks the post.

Seriously man... your asking a group of (predominantly) male geeks for advice on picking up chicks.... yeah, perhaps not the best social group to be seeking advice from.
