    A little coursework help.

Hey guys. I need about five people to complete this little questionnaire for my Technology coursework, I'd really help me out otherwise I won't have much market research for my folder.
Ten replies would be best but 5 will do.

I am designing a light for Warhammer 40,000 players and their hobby!

What is the light mainly used for?

What type of person will use it?

Where in the home will it be used?

What time of day will it be used?

When the light is on what position is the persons body likely to be?

How far from the shade is your eye line when using the light?

What influences the style of the light?

Will children use or have access to the lamp?

How much would you pay for a good quality solution?

Would you like the lamp packaged or unpackeged and explain why?

Would you like to self assemble the lamp?

If the lamp breaks would you rather replace the broken part or buy a new lamp?

Are there any features you would like to see in the design?

If somebody could answer al;l these questions for me and PM me the answers it would be a great help. Thanks a bunch!!!

    Answers to your questions:

    1. The light would probably be used to provide extra illumination while I'm working on detail painting work on my models.

    2. Any miniature gaming addict who likes to work on his models in the evening/night.

    3. Would probably be used in my dining room, since I usually do my painting at the dining room table.

    4. Would be used in the evening/night, when there isnt alot of natural illumination.

    5. Body position is likely to be hunched over model, with hands cradled to steady them while painting small bits.

    6. not exactly sure what youre asking here

    7. Would like to see the lamp designed after something transportable and usable in a variety of positions, small enough to transport perhaps in a materials/bits/paint kit, flexible neck to put light where its needed.

    8. In my household? no, no children.

    9. 20-30 US dollars

    10. Packaged, especially if it came with a case i could put it back in. Again, this has to do with transportability issues. If it was in a case that i could stow in my painting kit, I would be more likely to take it around with me as i traveled to different places. The main reason for this would be to keep the lamp from getting damaged during transport.

    11. No. I do enough self-assembly in this hobby, I dont need more.

    12. Aside from the light bulb, would rather just buy a new one if it broke.

    13. Maybe a bendable neck for better positioning, long last light bulb (halogen type maybe?). Battery based, with option for an AC adapter.

    Hope that helps.
