ok it may just be me that doesn't know this, but none of my friends can answer it either so i'm hoping most of you won't know either. but what happened to saddam? he was the biggest thing for awile, i remember reading every newspaper headline saying the states had got him, then... nothing. a side note to the media, if they don't want us thinking about something, they pumel us with enough other stuff we forget the first stuff. so please, anyone who knows what happened to him, do tell. and also note, i'm asking WHAT happened to him, not why, what shoulda, anything like that. just facts, no biases or otherwise political thoughts (though i guess it shouldn't matter to much as this topic's life will prolly be this post, 2 or 3 "yea, i remember him!" posts, then "this happened post" and it's done).
much thanks to anyone being helpful.
that's the thing about perfection, it can only get worse.
Yeah I was wondering that just the other day! I assume he is imprisoned in the US somewhere until they gather enough evidence to convince an international court that they were justified in overthrowing his government.
Or maybe they're quietly hoping he'll die before anyone remembers him. He's no spring chicken.
At any rate, where he is is secret isn't it? Even if I was in the US military and somehow knew where he was I wouldn't tell you guys! (no offence)
I'm pretty sure he's being held in an Iraqi prison, awaiting his trial. There was something a while ago about how he wasn't recieving the proper care for his heart condition or whatever, and that has suspended the trial.

Well, he is probably in the US right now, they also are probably ''questionning'' him about the whereabout of the other leaders of is regime. Sadly he was clearly set up, as they found him in a hole were he could not possibly get out by himself, and half stoned on tranquilisers.Originally Posted by closet_anarchist
According to the Washington Post, he's in an Iraqi jail and writing his memoirs. Scary, eh? "When I was young lad, I found my penchant for maiming and torturing. It started the usual way, like it does for all young boys, with flaying a stray cat here or strangling a chicken loose in the marketplace there."
Long before his capture, he was known to have a predilection for writing bad novels--many were ghost written--and even worse poetry. Prison won't deter a megalomaniac like him; it will only provide him more fodder for the epic saga that is his life.
Yep, he is back home in Iraq. Probably living somewhat better than he did in his spider hole.Originally Posted by DavidVC04
