Who do you prefer?
I would have to say Black Sabbath, I think they have a larger range of songs, some are really heavy, some are uplifting, intrementals, jazz and blues influenced songs and many with a mixture of styles.
The "Holy Grail" of Black Sabbath material is the "Black Zeppelin" jam, a supposed recording of members of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath playing together (which did happen - they were friends with each other, especially Bill Ward and John Bonham). This recording can't be found in trading circles either, if it even exists at all.
Life is too serious to be taken seriously
Although stairway to heaven is an awsome song i would have to agree with you on Black sabbath. Some of the Led zeppelin's songs have really long solo's, although solo's are good ther3e not godd when they go forever.
It Led for me, althought Ozzy's gang did really nice work, tough call.
my dad got me into them :p

Sabbath by far, Ozzy is the definition of rawk. Zep ownz too, just not as hard, and I simply like Ozzy's voice better. They also both had a habit of getting pretty "hippy" and laying down some trippy Earth Mother stuff, but Sabbath tended to do this a bit less, and I was never a fan of hippies.
Dude the 70s!
Too bad Ozzy is bow just a walking undead corps, probably as less brain fonction than a jar of almonds! ^_^
..... but have you seen him in concert recently.... he becomes the Ozzy of old when he's up there!!!Originally Posted by Wolf_Pack
