Welcome to Librarium Online!
Just curious if anyone else out there has started on the newest Harry Potter book. I went to the midnight release at the bookstore, actually a multimedia store, I frequent and was overwhelmed. The parking lot was full to capacity, and it's a rather large parking lot at that. The store itself is large, selling books, software, music, novelties, DVDs and so on, and the line stretched clear to the back of the place. People were shouting exultantly when they acquired their copies. I enjoyed the spectacle a bit and left, intent on returning the next day, thankful that I'd reserved a copy. That next day, I asked the clerk if he'd had the misfortune of working the night before, and he said that he did have such misfortune and that they didn't leave until 2:30 A.M.
I've started on the book and am about half-way and enjoying it quite a bit. Anyone else out there a Rowling fan?
i finisged the book the day igot it, the ending isSO sad, i wont spoil it 4 u, but i cried.....................
My friend started and finished the book on Saturday. He said it was great but I can say no more than that.
I have all the books, except the latest, but haven't read them. I started on the 1st yesterday.
Ahh! Death to Harry Potter!!!
Life is too serious to be taken seriously
yes ive read them all, finished this one on sunday, i ended up just reading it all for most of the day really good book,
its anoying my mum and sister are reading it so i cant talk about it to them until theyve finished, and ill share the same curtesy with you and wont spoil it.
lets agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours are
I have undeniable proof, in the form of certain pictuers taken by a recently deceased photographer, that the person who actually writes the Harry Potter books and Barney are the same person.
Yes! That's right kiddies. This is phase two of Barney's plan for world domination. First he awestruck us as children with his lovable, fat purple ass and now he has ventured into the realm of childrens literature.
Not one, but TWO generations of children have so far been beguiled by wiley and insidious charms and one day he will reveal himself to the world and declare himself emperor. No one will revolt, no one will argue and we will all prostrate ourselves before his almighty purpleness just in order to hear him sing "I love you".
So that is the REAL reason I don't read Harry Potter books, I refuse to become a pawn of Barney like all of YOU hapless souls!
Not to mention I'm highly disinterested in that type of literature....
Read it the day it came out. Fantastic reading, even if Harry quite obliviously had watched the Mary Jane-Peter Parker thing at the end of Spider-Man 1, because he ripped it off. RIPPED IT OFF I SAY!!! A brilliant read though.
*SPOILER ALERT* *HIGHLIGHT THE BELOW FOR SPOILER*
Dumbledore is killed by Snape, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Voldemort has four more "lives" which need to be destroyed.
After 24 hours they sold enough books to line them up along the equator... TWICE! And on average, they were selling 50,000 of them every hour! That's a lott a books... number one best seller beating event the Bible, i'm about half way through at the moment :p

I haven't got around to it yet but plan to buy it eventualy. I just don't feel like fighting through rabid mobs of soccer moms and thier screaming brats to get one. I'll get around to it.
Sadly there was talk of protests here in the bible belt. Appearently Harry Potter is the devil and he's poisoning the minds of our youth.
Happy reading my fellow heathens. ^_^
I highly highly doubt that one. Whoever said that hasn't realized that a book that's been around 2000 years is kinda hard to determine how many copies have been sold. Not to mention it's been printed in every major language known to man including several dead languages. I call bull****.beating event the Bible
