Well, having waited many years for this movie to be released, I finialy managed to watch it tonight.
One word... WOW! The story was a little see-through in some places, but hey that was expected. Overall though I have to say that it was a brilliant movie and definatly worth getting hold of.
The one moment that really made the movie was the Bahamut fight, just having the whole gang there brough back many feelings of nostalgia. Even Cait Sith was welcome especially since he disposed of the giant stuffed toy and was content with riding on Nakani's back ^_^
The Reno / Rude relationship was well portrayed in the movie IMHO, only a shame we didnt see more of Tseng.
The return of Sephiroth was cheesy I suppose, but fitted in nice enough, although it did leave me wondering what Yazoo and Loz were doing while Kadaj / Seppy were taking on Cloud... artistic licence I suppose that Clocd gets to the scene in 2 seconds, but the other two villains take till the end of the battle to arrive :p
Anywho, all in all a film that was well worth waiting for (although I am sure some will disagree), so, what did you guys think?
I believe Yazoo and Loz were picking themselves up from being blown up on the bridge...
Then they went and got a bunch of materia and shoved it in their arms.
I loved the movie itself, I've watched it 9 times and it hasn't gotten old yet.
I am guessing its the box of Materia.Originally Posted by Lost Nemesis
I mean, Loz took the materia and Marlene, so I guess she was hoping that he got the materia back.
Maybe its poor translation then and she meant "him" not "it" and was reffering to Denzel?
Meh, I woudnt worry too much about it, hardly a plot breaking line :p
I found the fights to be great, BAR the music. I felt the music just wasn't as good as in the game.
The story...was ok at best I think, as its a film soley geared for those you are fans of the game. If you;ve never played the game, then your going to end up confuzzled.
I would have loved to have seen more of Barret and Red, as Red only had like one line! o_o

That's saying there will be a sequel game ..Originally Posted by dr_nick22

I loved the battle scenes and I really liked the music, too. Most of it was shoot-off from the original game music, and it's a really neat thing to pick up on.
I wasn't actually a player of VII, and I got the story just fine. It isn't all that complicated, even though it is pretty neat. Really. I have very limited knowledge of VII and yet I picked up almost all of the story..
Red XIII actually had two lines. One on the airship and the one at the end.
