Actually, the French did have color photo capabilities during that time period, so it's possible they are authentic. Probably not, but still possible.

They look good, and even if they are digitally colourised it is a good way to reconstruct how it might have looked.

Hate to rain on everyones parade, but I did a HUGE piece of coursework on the first and second world wars for my GCSE's, and colour photo capability didn't come around till late 1940, so it is very likey that these pics have been digitally coloured, and i doubt that would be very hard to do, take Saving Private Ryan for example, that was authentic to the last ounce about WW2, but it was still done with loads of modern stuff, there is no reason why these posted photos could not have been done using the same methods, becasue there are still parts of Europe that are unrepaired from WW2, they are considered Historical monuments.

Anyway, enough of the boring stuff, the photos are probably fake!

Yes, after they have been digitally remastered, there was no color film capability until 1940, even then it was rare. Thus, it isnt authentic!

it is very possible that the french did have colour film, but there is a higher chance that they are digitally coloured in. I've learned the technique in photographer class.
