As I am at that age, I have been sprouting acne on my face and back of neck. The back of neck thing seems to be common among swimmers. I have been using Duac (1%Clendamycine, 10% Benzoyl Peroxide), and Differin (I don't know what's in that). It went away for a while, but recently (as in past 2 days), it's starting to come back.
Does anyone have suggestions for ridding my face of Acne, and what do you people who have it use?
I'm sure anyone who's used anything that works will tell you, but different things work for different people because everyone is different. Facts of life.
Besides, acne is one of those "growing up" things that lots of people get to experience. Some have it bad, some have it worse, some have very little. No 100% guarantee with anything.
If it's a serious problem (and not just embarrassing), you can always see a dermatologist about it, and they can either suggest or prescribe a solution.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong.
I feel your pain Zeke. I'm 23 years old, and up to just about 3 months ago, I had a bad case of acne. Not red swelling, but my forehead was always very bumpy. It's very hard to command troops when you look like a teenager.
I bought some proactive solution, and it worked like a charm. All the acne on my forehead cleared up, and the occassional outbreak on my jaw has all but disappeared. I truly recommend it. I think the thing I got was a 3 or 4 month supply, and was only about 35-40 bucks.
As has been said before, if its very bad go and see a dermatologists who can presribe stuff for it...but otherwise dont worry, your just at that age when you get the worst lot of it, at some point all of your peers will get acne or spot of some severity. Personally i still get the occasional outbreak (not really on my face particularly on my shoulders nowadays weirdly) and im 25! the trick is not to let it get you down- its like wearing glasses- it happens to most people eventually!
