Welcome to Librarium Online!
Today, some idiot tried to set light to my hair. I hate that kind of person. So, it got me thinking about whether anyone else here has had this kind of problem, and what reason they could find for it, because I certainly don't know what could cause someone to do something like that.
I don't have many experiences like that, myself; I'm a rather large guy, and most people don't want to mess with me, even though I'm usually rather gentle.Originally Posted by Purturabo_The_Great
However, I can help with reasons as to why someone would do something like that, and you said it yourself - they are idiots. They get their kicks out of acting totally and completely immature and having no regard for any other person.
Ask them to knock it off. Failing that, tell them to knock it off. Failing that, knock them out.
Not as direct as that, maybe, but it should work.
I would have started with the last step if someone tried to light my hair. knock them out!Originally Posted by Lost Nemesis

Some guy at school stole my graphic calculator (those things that cost €100)
I asked him politely to give it back, and he gave several stupid nonsense answers.
Then (In the middle of a crowded central hall) I yelled in his face, cursing, swearing and calling him all kinds of names. After that I gave him a nice punch in his chest, I got my calculator back, and that guy was polite to me ever since
Another guy screwed with the welding machine I was working with. (doing a steelworkers education) The electrode that usually burns up slowly melted in 1 second, it burned through 10mm steel plate, and pissed me off.
I ran after him, grabbed his shoulder and punched him in his neck.
He was really shaking like an idiot, stuttered a little and walked away. 2 days later he came to me during lunchbrake, apologizing and asked me to stop hating him.
He never said or done anything to me since that day.
A teacher!!! did the ultimate thing to piss me off once.
before the lesson started (not even everybody was in the classroom), I was reading a newspaper. Without first saying anything to me, he grabbed the newspaper out off my hands and smacked me in the face with it.
WHOOO I was mad!!! I stood up (I'm a head taller than him) stood real close to him and just let everything out that came to mind. I pushed him over the table and screamed on.
1 fist in the air. (I never noticed what I was saying to him, but my class was somehow pretty shocked by it).
I walked out the class, and told the principal the whole thing.
His reaction: Oh, we can't have hatred in the classes, that's not good for the results...
He did not even want to punish me!:w00t:
I didn't go to his classes for 3 days, then he came to me in another teacher's class to make it right.
WHOHAH!, I won again!
So, I'm not trying to get you to smash that guy's brains out, but a little agression and violence definately helps!, no matter what all the hippies and the usual weaklings tell you.

Get them in a clinch.
This is what you do. Kick them in the groin, then grab the back of their neck. Interlock your hands, and squeeze with your forearms.
Pull their head down, and knee them to holy hell.

Professionally speaking: Try to respond with the least amount of force possible, the overexcessive use of force really just causes more problems.
In the same token; being bullied is intolerable, if it is done successfully once it is liable to make you a target again because it has been successfully done with little to no reprecussions... Don't look for a fight because one will always find you, but try to be prepared for a confrontation by remembering a few basic rules.
If the enemy can not see or breathe or move, fighting becomes impossible.
If you can attain one of these you stand a very good chance of winning.
If you can attain two your victory is almost assured
If you attain all three you must weigh 400 pounds or are well armed.
Me and my best friend started off as mortal enemies. We used to fight all the time and argue and **** and then one day we really got into it and threw down. I'm not sure who came out on top, but then a funny thing happened, we apologized and became incredibly good friends.
In fact, we would really stick up for each other from then on. I kicked some rednecks ass who called him a nigger and he beat the crap out of this guy who was bullying me.
Years later I was best man at his wedding. Gotta give a shout out to my homey Demetrius. (Y)
My dads best friend is Chinese and he said that there's a Chinese proverb for this: You can never truly know a man until you fight him.
I guess we found out who each other really were while we were fighting and then we learned to respect each other.
shrug, i usually really mellow out and about and have always been able to settle differences through just talking it out and coming to an understanding. or just telling them what's going to happen to them step by step if the first part doesn't happen.
i'm not that 'large' of a person, i'm about average height and average build (although i go to the gym all the time or do drill on the beach in boots and uts runs), so it's hard for me to intimidate people just by physical appearance, but i don't worry about that.
the mellow nonchalant attitude doesn't work much either in intimidating, but usually that attitude tends to not to bring much ill-will in my direction, as it's hard for people to get mad at me when i'm not really putting out any bad vibes. so really just have to watch for the annoyance factor.
i really don't like people who are prone to violence in response to things, even if it seems like it'd be 'getting even' (it never ends there). because there are worse things that could happen (i'm not going to relate my own stories, because the one i'm thinking of right now is plain just wrong) but sometimes it's better just to let things drop and move on, if it persists, then warn them off. it's just self-control and discipline, it's a strength.
if it really comes down to it, well... it gets messy and that can't be helped. cleanest way is just to choke off their carotid artery. 8 seconds, they're knocked out; hold it for a minute, they're dead.
