For those of you that feel you are being frequently flamed, insulted, corrected, slammed, or generally being treated poorly, it may be time for some introspective. How have you been behaving in our community?

You see, historically small communities did not have jails or people dedicated solely to take care of problems, such as corrections or law enforcement. So they took care of it themselves. They ostracized the offending member. Basically they flamed, insulted, corrected, slammed or ignored the individual until they changed their behavior or left.

This is obviously not meant for everyone. Fortunately we have a very good group of people in our Librarium community who are valuable assets. They contribute a lot toward making this a nice place to hang out and exchange ideas. Unfortunately we seem to have picked up a few fleas recently.

Something to think about.

Librarium online has it's no flamming policy and all accounts of flamming should be reported if ever seen by members, if it has not already been accounted by a moderator or an admin. Generally out of all the different types of forums I have found this one to be one of the most friendly community (and I'm not just saying that because I'm a mod). I don't think there is a current problem with flaming going on at Lo but if you feel their it is then please feel free to pm, I promiss to hold all your messages on such matters confidential unless given permission otherwise.

Now was that what you where on about or are you also directing this within society as well and not just librarium online?

I can honestly say that I really enjoy my time here, I've never really came across a forum where the members are misbehaving (this is generally not just LO).

As for my two cents od perhaps penny

I do find this Forum very friendly and certainly more informative to my needs for information about the game. The off topic discussions are certainly fascinating and reminds me of some conversations I've had with colleagues and friends.

The part about the flaming?

I have had conversations where we did end up insulting each other and me being pronounced as definitely going to hell. The others in the office just say that we are talking nonsense again. At least it whiles away the hours.....

There are just a few people who can't resist chucking grenades into a nest of live wombats (or voles) like Librarium Online. People like Inspector Gadget, dhikawhatwhat, and etc. are just looking for a reaction. I actually went over MWL's posts, and I think you guys were a bit harsh on him. He spammed a bit, but he's small potatoes compared to others, like then above.

You do realise of course that what you are proposing is tantamount to Heresy?

No! Just look at it. He spams a great deal, but we have enough of that that goes around unpunished. He wasn't the tyrannic despot of a dark and desolate kingdom of misery that you all made him out to be! Whatever. I'm going for a donut.

A little note: a lot of MWL's posts have been deleted, so you can't truly judge him now anymore.
Besides, he was the worst spammer in our history at the time (at least I think so, Digimon might've been worse but meh).
And something I just remembered: combine forum behaviour with chats, and you have a truly unique figure.

Anyway, this ain't goin' anywhere. We do have a ton of bomb-throwers, though- people who join -only- to stir up trouble. There should be some kind of application test. Or something.

If there was a good test, sure, but what would you test on? And how?
