That was very well written, and a good spooky subject matter.
It reminded me of some well published mystery/horror writers.
While I have been spelunking on occasion, I doubt seriously I would ever make the crawl through the narrowness of 'Floyd's Tomb' even if it wasn't in the bowels of the earth.
The experience would be too claustrophobic for me.
After reading the whole thing (with the little cliffhanger at the end), I have to say that this is one good piece of fiction.
They had me the first few pages into believing that this story might be based on actual experiences, but nearing page 6 and 7, I began to realise what this really is; a ghost story, pure and simple.
It reminds me of another story I read a few years back about the myth of the rocket car, how some people found a JATO launcher and decided to attach it to a car, put it on some abandoned railroad tracks and let fly. It was about similar in length to this story, except on the second to last page, it asked for a paypal donation. I half expected this story to do the same.
But all this aside, don't let my review dissuade you from reading it. It actually is a good read, and the initial description of Ted squeezing though the clostrophobic confines of Floydd's Tomb actually did make me a little queezy.
Jeebus! That story has me scared outa my wits! The ending was...  all that the same time... >_< I feel stupid for actually getting freaked out  But holy cow man... That was a good story.
