Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've been interested in emmigrating to Canada for a long time, and now it has become my dream. At 18, I'm currently at university, and will be working in the summer to afford a trip to Canada to check things out. I'm thinking of just saving for flights and spending money for food and accomodation at various hostels. I'm thinking of travelling over Canada (east to west) looking for various places and such.
Can anyone offer me general advice, money, travelling, places, etc to think of and look for?
Well it matters what you want. Do you want to have a taste of French culture then visit quebec (montreal is good). If you want to see a ton of govenment buildings and canadian history (go to ontario). If you want to get a taste of small town Canada visit the praries or the maritimes. If you want dinosaurs visit Drumheller, Alberta If you want to visit the Great White north well go north! And if you want to see the most multicultural city ever visit vancouver b.c. and the lower mainland area.
You must rember that canada is sooooo vast that you have to set realistic goals cause you cant see it all. well unless you spend a looooonnngg time up here.
Good luck on your travels.
P.S. Games Workshop locations include Halifax, Nova Scotia. All over southern ontario. Winnipeg, Manitoba. Regina, Saskatchewan. Edmonton, Alberta. Calgary, Alberta. And in B.C. all over the lower mainland area, mostly in Vancouver.
Thanks for the advice, I may have to take more than one trip! It all sounds good though, thanks.
