Well today was a normal day Until 9. That's when all four schools in our town were put into a lock down.
The reason for the lock down? There was a 911 call with a bomb threat! OMFG A BOMB THREAT IN OUR SCHOOL!? I'm in the tech room at the time, so we shut off the lights and turn off the monitors and go into one of the back rooms for about 10 minutes. Then we were told that we could go wherever we wanted, but only in the room that you were in. If you had to go to the bathroom you had to be escorted.
So as I said before I was in the tech room, the class and I took advantage of the time to play games on the internet (hell yes Sonic rocks!) We also talked about who might have called it in and who may have planted one if there was one. a few of the guys were paranoid and thought that their cars would get searched, but they didn't.
So about and hour and a half passed and we were given the all clear, we missed 4th period and went strait to 5th or first lunch. I noticed a Channel 3 suv by the road so I guess I have to watch the news tonight.
Turns out that the call was a hoax, I don't know if there are any suspects. My dad thinks that it was someone who wanted to get out of school maybe because of a test, WHO KNOWS? I'll find out on the news at 11 and probobly post my findings either tonight or tomorrow.

We used to get bomb scares/phony fire alarms every few weeks at high school. Thankfully the year 8's have all grown up a little so its stopped now. Mostly its either a prank or someone trying to get out of a test. Usually happens during maths.

We had one last year at my school. We missed 6th period because of it. The police traced the call to a kid's cell phone and he got busted when they realized that he was faking it.
On a lighter note, we got out of school a few days ago because a power line went down and its transformer blew. They sent us home after A lunch but I had the missfortune of being in A lunch. Let me tell you, pizza doesn't taste good after it gets cold:x

Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
Well, its not good hot, but this isn't the kinda pizza thats been in the fridge, love that stuff. I mean like the pizza that was warm but has been sitting out for a while. That just doesn't taste good.

Our Highschool has seven 55 minute periods, and a 30 minute lunch. 5 minute passing periods. On Wed's and Thurs's we have a days called block days, where the schedule is different. Then classes are one hour and thirty minutes, but we have less periods that day, and a longer passing period.
our School just has 4 80 minute classes, they are always long and boring. We have never had anything that eventful at my school, some people have all the luck

waaaay back when I was in school, the classes were 6 x 55min periods per day, with about an hour for lunch. They were too short for the classes you liked, but way too long when you didn't.
The closest we ever got, waaaay back then, to a bomb scare, was a "biological" hazard that cleared the room when someone had too much curry or something the night before :w00t:
Mysterious Member of the ANZAC Clan
this reminds me of a funny thing that happened last year in school. I was in math class at the time, but this happened ina differant class.
It was a usual day. "bob" was working on a group project in history, for some reason he is hiding under a large table in the corner of the room. While working on it he asked "fred" if he wanted to see something cool. "fred" (being a stoner) says ok. So "bob" takes out his rubber cemet, lights a match and drops it in. The rubber cement inniadly catches fire. "bob" starts yelling "****, ****!!!!" and drops it onto the floor, spilling the burning liquid everywhere. He freaks out and starts stomping on it. It does not go out and only covers his shoe with flaming cement. Then "fred" grabs "bob's" backpack and throws it onto the flaming mess, it is now when the rest of the class notices the flaming corner. It also does nothing except catch the backpack on fire. Meanwhile the class is screaming and running away. I hear this since i am in the next room, and about 10 seconds later I hear the fire alarm go off. I laugh and head out side and wait for the fire department to run in with their large hose o' happiness and hose the entire class down. I then get to go home and sleep. It was a very entertaining moment.
i need to find something interesting to put here
