So I've been doing some (admittedly fag-packet) calculations, and it seems that even after rent, food, bills and christmas presents, I'm about £400 up before my next loan payment. Obviously, as a student, this is a very agreeable position to be in.
So my quandry. Do I save it, or spend it on cool/useful/useless stuff?
Or do I, once I get home, go on a week long bender being perpetually drunk/stoned out of my face?
Or get a cool camera?
Or any number of cool stuff?
Help me out, here, guys.
"It fits like clothes made out of wasps!"
Well, coming from me; which if you talk to my parents and friends this is going to sound really unlike me since I spend like crazy, but in my view you should save it for now so that later on when you get more cahs you cna spend it on more worthwhile stuff. Just my humble view on things after withdrawing moeny from my bank 6 times, paying for th fees and than closing that bank since I wasn't mature enough to have it.

Save it Inkie mate. You will not know what will hit you in the future, that four hundred is a nice soft comfy blanket to have with you. I'd personally keep it stashed away for a rainy day or some unfortunate incident etc. I find it's always better to keep something hidden away for emergencies and the like than to go and blow it all on crap that isn't important.
Unless you have something in paticular you've been saving for and wanting to get, I'd just save the money. Like others say you never know what might come up, and if you save it you could wait and get something better if you build up more money!
Invest it! Shares, or a share portfolio with a financial consultant.
Just don't spend it all. (well, maybe just a little bit) As KU said its a nice little safety zone for the future.
But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
You could always start up a new warhammer collection with it...
someone had to say it.
Check out my Codex: Farmyard Animals here!
If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
Drunken benders have a very short-term exploit, after you've sobered up you money is gone, and you probably won't remember anything. I would save it indefinitely
This is coming from a teetotal hoarder, however.
I seem to be having tremedous difficulty with my lifestyle.
Death to our enemies! And, time permitting, our allies as well.
Investing it can be cool, I got an extra loan (1K) which I dont need.
As the SLC is not for profit and the interest rates are low I put it in a decent interest savers account. When the time comes for re-payment i'll just give them thier original money, some of the interest I made and keep a fair bit extra.
Cheers for the free money SLC/Natwest.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
You're only young once, and 400 notes isn't really that much, so I say go on the bender!
Put it in a spare bank account and forget about it. Then, next Christmas, if it is still there, get some kick-ass presents for the whole family.
