Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok, a few in depth conversations are running at the minute, so heres another about friendship.
How many people would say they have friends here on librarium? Now how many people would class those friends and REAL friends? They could live across the world, and be somebody completely different in real life. What actually is a REAL friend? Is it someone who you trust completely? If so then why do some people keep things from their REAL friends for one reason or another, but feel able to share with an internet friend? Is there a difference between the two types of friends at all?
I'd say I have friends here.
It's a bit strange I think.
Relations here at a very public level. All I say and do is aimed not only to my friend, but to all, all the time. Even on rather private ground, like the public profile, all communication will be read by others... it's a bit like a room full of people all talking loud enough for everyone to hear and one at a time, the rest silently listening... I'd say communication here is more family-like in a way.
Friends do more then just listen to publicly spoken words, they... participate? I find that here and I enjoy it. It's in a way the basis of a forum like this. "Come, tell us your problem and we'll help you." Don't find that often in the outside world.
We also are on quite equal ground compared to real life. In greater extent one is, outside LO, judged by so many "outside qualities". You are how you look, how so you dress...age is also often important as is the social circles. Have you showered or shaved, are you rich or poor etc.
Here we are but an avatar, a cool name and some quotes in the signature. That's all the outside we have, our only body. The rest is mind.
I have no history and my knowledge of your outside life (RL) is limited to some very few and shattered details and in a way that is a relief, course the same goes for me in your end of the relationship. It becomes a very independent relationship this way in a good way.
Whenever I come here I feel like a part of me has come home and I like that feeling.
Thanks to you all.
well seeing as i myself have met:

Well I only have met two people on Librarium because they are family but other than that havent met anyone else. But the ones on friends list have agreed on same things and other stuff like that which made them buddy of me. People that you meet on librarium can friends in a way that you talk alot and other things but if you just type in threads and other stuff like that then I wouldn't think that you would be considered a friend.
I'd like to think I've made some good friends through LO. Okay I haven't met any of them (yet) but speaking to them on msn/IRC regularly pretty much makes them a friend in my eyes
hmm friends. Well im not the person to keep friends unless they are really close.
I was good friends with BloodBlade, XenosmarineKiller, and a few other guys who helped with the Imperium Clan (no longer in existance).
I am also The Counts Brother. So i would say we are brothers (very different from a friend, i wouldn't take a bullet for all of my friends but i would for any of my brothers)
I am more of a person who makes new friends wherever i go. Unfortunetly i dont seem to be friends with people on LO as i used to. I should probably check in more often. to fix that.

I've met 2 people from LO, thought 1 was only briefly...
And even then, I know some great people here on LO, but those whom are friends come mostly from The Order of the Shadowy Flame.
LO just has such a great atmosphere that its hard to not make friends!
Well I really don't count people on here as friends but as buddys should be the word for it a friend is someone you could trust your life on in my eyes.
The only people on this site that
I know in person on librarium are my two cousins The Count and Deek, and a friend epidal. Other than that I have became more of a buddy to people on my list because of our interests and agreements.

I would say that I have some friends on LO, people who are often thinking the same thing I am and we find ourselves agreeing a lot.
But I only have a few Good Friends here. Thanks for helping me... dispose of that problem last week, Shake!
