Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well, I believe I see a pattern. The sales of new second hand armies pop up after a few months on eBay once their owner's A) sick of tired of C) or can't play armies. I've been able to get new Tyranids, new Space Marines, etc. I am waiting to grab a buttload of Eldar soon. Has anyone else notice this trend?
Saddly, I hardly ever see deals that I find worth spending the time and effort to bid and arrange shipping and all on ebay most of the time for 40k stuff. I think it is partly my fault though. I ussually want to save atleast $10 off of ebay things after shipping, but refuse to buy thing that are in the hundreds, frankly because I don't hav the money to shell out. I have to agree though that I se plenty of armies that are half in boxes, about a third assembled and with a few models painted. The problem I have with these is people like this normally just bought the army and want a good deal of what they payed for it back, so you can't get a great deal. Most of the deals I see are also in the UK and the shipping would kill me. :-(
All that said though, I have seen a couple of great deals, but I'm ussually out of town or something when they finish or I get out bid. Oh well, I've gotten lucky a lot with non 40k stuff on ebay so maybe its just luck working itself out.

You can get good deals on previous version of newer models when the new ones hit though.
