Hello fight fans,
From the makers of the "Librarium tournament" comes a new game that you, yes you can take part in. How? Well just read the rules below and PM me a fighter from the list below.
First off if you would like to take part then it would be in your best interest to be able to post
once a day in the battle.
Heres what you can do per post in this order.
As you can see this game uses a grid and this is how you move around, each character can move a set number of grids up or down, left ot right or sideways if you like.
All the weapons are the same as warhammer 40k apart from one small change.......the range.
Because we are using grids to move around the range of all weapons needs to be changed. If you want to shoot then you must measure in just the same why as in a normal game.
After movement you may assault anyone within 2 grids. You must be able to move onto the grid that your opponent is on in order to assault him.
Other rules and how to post your orders
You may shoot into combat, any hits a randomly allowcated.
In order to take part you must post your orders for your fighter like this.
"Move north west and then rapid fire your bolter at guy A"
Letters - Fighters
Green grid - Tree - You may not move or fire through it.
Black grid - Building - You may not move or fire through it.
Blue grid - Water - You may not move through it but you may fire over it.
Now you may only post once per 24 hours so as soon as it hits midnight you may post a new set of orders. You may not post orders between the hours of 110pm to 120pm as this is when i will be editing the map with all of your new orders. I will edit the map from the first post then the second post etc. so you have to account for your enemys moves before you think about posting your orders.
Characters and weapons
You may PM me with your entry from the following list.
Space marine with a bolter - Movement 2 grids
Space marine scout with a Sniper rifle - Movement 3 grids
Chaos space marine with a powerfist and a plasma pistol - Movement 2 grids
Assault marine with a power weapon and bolt pistol - Movement 4 grids,may jump over things but must end his move on a open grid.
Tau Firewarroir with a pulse rifle - Movement 2 grids
Genestealer - Movement 3 grids - Has a 4+ save - In the shooting phase you may move D3 grids.
Guardsman with a lasgun and one of the following weapons - Movement 2 grids
Autocannon - Range 7"
Heavy bolter - Range 5"
Mortar - Range 5" Uses guadsmens BS and does not need line of sight.
Sniper rifle - Range 6"
Pulse rifle - Range 4"
Apart from the pulse rifle rapid fire weapons have a range of 3" and a range of 1" if you move or want to rapid fire.
All pistols have a range of 1"
I hope that makes sense to you, there are ten openings. When im ready i will Pm all those taking part and give you a link to the battle thread in the battle reports area of this site.

Another question, by inches on the heavy weapons, do you mean hexagonal things or inches?

I have all your teams now, just to give you something to keep you going until monday here are the teams. I had a good idea of who i would pick before i saw your teams, had i been powergameing i would not have taken any assault troops with macewinds Genestealers running around:cry:

Wonder who has the best team? Also does a plasma pistol give a extra attack like a bolt pistol would and do you get the extra attack if you shoot your pistol once then assault?

who will be moving first? Random seems best, so a dice roll decides it, but for matters of fairness I think the army with the largest range of fire should move first.
Im not just saying that because ive taken a stealer, but it is the reason for my question if that makes sense! My reasoning is as follows.
If i or kos-mos move first, we could potentially be moving our cc warrior into a firing line and lose that man in turn one. If one of the shootier armys moved first, we could move more strategically, thus saving our cc unit, and not really causeing much danger as we'll still be too far to strike!
Looking at the selected armys,
1 - Chaos space marine range - 1 inch
2 - Assault marine - range 1 inch
3 - Guardsmen with autocannon - range 7 inch
Total 9 inch
1- Guardsmen with autocannon - range 7 inch
2 - Guardsmen with autocannon - range 7 inch
3 - Guardsmen with Mortar - range 5 inch
total 19 inch
1 - Guardsmen with heavy bolter - range 5 inch
2 - Guardsmen with sniper rifle - range 6 inch
3 - Genestealer - range 0 inch
total 11 inch
1 - genestealer - range 0 inch
2 - Guardsmen with heavy bolter - range 5 inch
3 - Space marine with bolter - range 3 inch
total 8 inch
So IamJasonK would go first, then me, then kos-mos, then warrior.
Random is fine i just thought this might make it a little fairer.
Also plasma pistols do confere an extra attack in cc and can shoot before assaulting. They have the melta special rule.
What do lasguns do?
Well the range of the autocannons is massive but just look at the map, all the green and black
grids block line of sight. I thought that because of this players would maybe get off 1 to 2 shots before they get there faces kicked in. The assault marine can move 4 grids and assault anyone within 2 girds so he has a kill zone of 6 grids.
I don't have a problem with a set order in who gos first and your set up sounds fair to me. I wonder what the other players think? (Tell me )
Oh and the lasgun is there so that you have something to fire if you need to move. Im surprised there are so many guardmen,sure they have a heavy weapon but its only 1 wound with flak armour.
How do you think i sould handle deployment? I was just going to set our teams up in each of the 4 corners.
