I'm not exactly sure how it started, but during some late night IRC I suddenly wanted to watch some of the balls of steel clips - particularly the annoying devil and Neg's urban sports.
To explain: Balls of Steel is an English television programme in the "hidden camera" format. It consists of an array of characters unleashed upon the unwitting British public. Now the pranks they play on people are the kind of pranks that would make your blood boil. The kind of prank whereby there is a good chance the victim will give you a good kicking if you don't make a hasty exit. Hence the title, Balls of Steel.
So why is this a thread in enhanced? Well I copied and pasted a few links into the IRC channel and it was met with much distaste from various members. They didn't find the links funny and said they would love to hospitalise the characters on the show, particularly the annoying devil. Now this is exactly the kind of response the characters are aiming for, and also one of the reasons why I find the show so side-achingly hilarious. I wanted to see what other people thought of this show. Does it make you laugh? Is it just a bunch of dickheads you would gladly see fall off a cliff? Or do you just love/hate hidden camera shows in general?
Cruel prank or utter genius?
Here are some clips of the show and some of the characters. They are mostly suitable for all, although I believe they contain some strong language.
These clips are only the tip of the iceberg. The second two clips make me laugh more than anything else I've ever seen! I love it!
So while I think these people would be incredibly annoying, I can't help but marvel at their balls of steel. Can you?

I've seen the annoying devil before. I thought it was hilarious, although yes it was cruel and twisted.
Basically it's a case of if it ever happened to me I would kick him in the crotch a couple of times. But while it's happening to someone else it's funny.
Check out my Codex: Farmyard Animals here!
If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
Yeah I agree with LL on this. I thought some of it was hilarious, but if it would happen to me it would not be as funny.
The Urban Skittles-sport was just great.
To be honest this is one of those rare cases where I don't use a double standard. I might let out a mild chuckle, but I'll immediately think "if he did that to me, I'd feed the feces he just threw on me, then kick the living shit out of him until he stopped moving". The things he pulls can seriously screw up your day, or more.
Frankly, I find it odd that for all of current society's ridiculously over the top political correctness, where everything and anything you do might potentially offend someone so you shouldn't do it, we're promoting this kind of behaviour. If anyone pulled this crap on me I wouldn't give a damn about his status or the cameras or the consequences... if he's allowed to take the piss on me because "it's funny", I'm allowed to respond extremely violently. For my own lulz.
That said, maybe it's not just not my kind of programme. I don't watch tv (ever) because around 99.9% on it is crap, and the rest is filled with commercial breaks. Certain programs are just boring and trivial, others are mindnumbingly retarded (jackass). As such I might not be the best person to give an opinion on a show, but meh .
Ze titles yez...

Im watching the clip and the whole time Im thinking... "Dude, how do I get into the backstage area to set up a giant cardboard safe filled with pingpong balls over this guys chair?" Shure he is kinda funny, mostly I want to kick his ass. Actualy, mostly I want to kick the producers ass, HARD.

I loved it when the annoying devil jumped out and chucked a bucket full of golf balls completely covering this guys golf ball.
I do cringe when i see some of the things that they do, i think to myself "How have they the balls to do something like that" as its something you need real guts for. I wouldn't beat the shit out of one of these guys as there not trying to hurt you and if you laugh at this kind of stuff then i don't think you have the right to beat them up. Maybe tell them to piss off but thats all you should do.
Also its Friday right? Thats means it on in 48 minutes, thank you for the reminder.

When the golfer was like "What the F@#$ did you do that for?!?" I was thinking that 'He's finaly going to get it!' but he didn't...
I loved Neg's sports, Urban Sprinting almost made me fall out of my chair!
Here's some more Urban Sports I found amusing:
Make Them Move
Knock and Don't Run
I think I found these more amusing because no one had to worry after it was finished (unlike most of the Devil's stunts)
The annoying Devil does make me laugh, but Neg's Urban Sports are something else; I'm seriously starting to think they are the funniest thing ever committed to film XD
My personal favorites are Urban Skittles, Urban Sprinting, Knock and don't run, and the all time classic: Big stranger rodeo!
