I just played a game and my buddie played OK. His list was the following:
2 x 6 bulls
5 or six ironguts
2 x 3 leadbelchers
i dont know what items were on everybody but i do know that one of the butchers had the halfling cookbook, and the brusier had a spanglehelm.
I beat him with a magic heavy O&G army...i have a couple question...
1. His tactics is to march up and assault me head on...what tactics are best?
2. What can he do to clean up this list?
"Let the galaxy burn!" Horus, in the Istvaan V campaign.
Ogres do excel at head on fighting, but it's not as easy as just marching forward and charging, which is true for just about any army. Ogres still need to set up flanks, be prepared to flee, and the sort.
Trappers can be really helpful. A bit of marchblocking can help the OK army get the charges it wants.
And it's very much about picking fights you can win. I'd avoid those enemy units which are especially tough if I can win the battle without engaging them.
