    just a quick edit to explain.

    Im sure most everyone got what i was saying but its [# of units X unit size] so 2x6 is 2 units of 6. i wouldn't even post this if there hadn't been confusion already(note: it was a friend reading the post)

    like this. i prefer mawseeker to the wyrdstone. it's not often tyrants are wounded in combat, usually their unit is run down

    [QUOTE=BetaMaster;1715281]2x3 bulls [/quote[
    possibly redundant this edition as they don't disrupt ranks, but good to add flanking bonus and extra hits to ironguts in combat

    all looks good. i like bigger gnoblar units for steadfast and horde, but each to their own

    i think a skrag army was always pretty good last edition. now i'm not so sure with the dispel dice issue. previously, this would have got you 10 power dice a turn. now you're far more random. overall, i like the first list better because you have ironguts.

    I would have like mawseeker more in last edition i think. +1 toughness was huge when you could deny lower strength hits. But now that 6's always hit i figured the higher toughness would only be good against really strong hits and not the normal str 3/4 hits. So i thought i ward save would be more beneficial.

    There is a reason for this, 3 per unit is the least i can take and the army book states that you cant take more gnoblar fighters than bull. If i had my choice i wouldnt have taken any.

    It was down to points on this decision originally i had 3 units of 40. But then i noticed that i couldn't have more gnoblars than bull so i dropped it down to 2 and finally reduce it to 30 for some other reason.

    I think i just like the idea of the skag army and even though its more random I think this one has a higher damage potential. But that is the way it should be more risk=more reward. Also the possibility of getting 2 extra dispel dice and making the opponent dispel a min of 3 spells a turn means i would probably get one of them off as long as i don't miscast.

    I'd say Arrmy list number one. But get both small units of 3 bulls into a large unit of 6.

    I'm not a fan of leadbelchers as they only really get a round off per game and you need to get larger units or else they run around the whole game.

    But apart from that you got a insane Tyrant who will kill anything followed by a stone thrower and 2 anti warmachine monsters.

    I recommended ARMY 1.Apart from that I would highly recommend this army to any new player.

    I guess my only real concern with army 1 is the lack of magic.

    hear are some other thoughts with 8th edition
    are bulls with light armor and iron fist better than iron guts?
    the 6+ ward would be nice for high S attacks like war machines since that is the ogres biggest fear. the low S save potential is the same for 2/6 and 1/6|1/6 but iron guts get better LD and since both IN is 2 the S 6 hits are nice, even if they do get last hit. But is high S that important any more since more units are low T and even with low S you can hit on 6's?

    I really can't decide which is better does anyone have any input on this?
