Hey all, just another standard 1K list. Since 7th ed i haven't used a monstrous horde due to being like a little kid at a candy shop with $50, im trying a bit of every thing. Now im planning on using a horde to obliterate my foe, with the thunder tusk nearby providing shooting and his epic numbing chill special rule, followed by being buffed i should be able to go toe to toe with just about any target.
Heroes* Goes with ogres
The gnoblars will help me by guarding one flank while the thunder tusk protects the other flank, the ogre horde will go center.
Spending so much on a TT to protect your flank isn't a great option IMO. You are putting your whole force into one unit, which would benefit having the TT with them applying the ASL rule. (Even then I think that a TT is overpriced for a 1k game)
Gnoblars are going to die easily regardless to numbers, so spending points on command isn't worth it. Trappers will most likely be more effective.
I do like the large unit of Ogres though. Ironfists are much better than Additional Hand Weapons is smaller games.
Maybe try some hard hitting Ironguts instead of the TT? (Could field 6 if you drop a few Gnoblars)

okay, well, im only really getting the TT because of its numbing chill special rule, guess it may be overpriced in 1K. My ogres do have IF so thats a thumbs up, im considering dropping the musician for the gnoblars and getting another 4 gnoblars, i see the standard as useful
