2250 Ogres vs Beastmen

Got the game tomorrow night, so not really expecting any much in the way of help, that's if this list actually gets posted straight away.
Just wanting to show my list. Anyway, to it...

The Slaughtermaster and BSB will be in the large Ogre unit, that being an anvil, with the smaller ogre unit and Ironguts as heavy hitters. Whole lot will be crazy mobile because I know he will be doing some ambush stuff.

The guy I am going against is still fairly new to Beastmen, I think he has only played a couple games, so I won't be too hard on him.
The only thing I am really worried about is his unit of 30 Bestigors, they could prove troublesome. Even the minataurs don't worry me as much as them bestigors. I will probably just pour Leadbelcher fire and Ironblaster shots into it as much as I can as early as I can, and if I manage to roll Flame Cage on my Firebelly, that would be very nice.

I will take some pics and report back the outcome after the game.

people are gonna argue the butcher vs firebelly all day long

why not combine the smaller unit of bulls with the larger to make horde formation? that way you get amazing numbers of attacks

everything else looks like fun personally never faced beastmen at all so don't really know what you'd be expecting to face

Unfortunately, I do not own any mournfang, otherwise I would run them all day everyday.

I have had great success with the firebelly, he has earned his points value back every time. That and he's painted up all purdy like, whereas most of my other Ogres are still in the process.

I've never been a fan of hordes, I fear I lose too much freedom of movement, and considering we tend to play on terrain heavy boards as well, it might be a hassle.

Bestigors are something like ws4 s4 with two attacks and great weapons. Not nice.

Hordes with ogres i've found works really well buff out the unit with the slaughter master, and the reason i take a butcher for lore of beasts which is really good with more buffs which is awesome when you consider the nice low casting values.

I'll consider the horde and the butcher while I'm here at work today.
I've not really looked at the lore of beasts spells, but I've heard there is some good stuff in it. Buffs are always good.

Irrelevant anyway, my opponent piked out, claiming a broken headlight on his scooter, and even though he had a whole week to put a battalion box together, but couldn't. I was much disappointed. I played MtG for the evening instead.
Maybe next week I will be able to verse him.
