i'm very new to ogres. I was thinking about doing.... any help would be helpful
firebelly with 5 ig with a gutlord and a bellower with a banner of swiftness.
6 IG with gut lord and bellower
4 lead belchers
really no ideas is it that bad or that good please help lol
No, it's just the Ogre forum is rather dead around here...
For 1k both of the units of IGs are scary. I don't know how you'll fair against a gun line or poison. Probably not so well, but you'll have to play test it to find out.
Hi dreaded, from personal experience I would swap the gutlords for standards as those extra points of combat resolution make all the difference. As for the lead belchers I find that anything short of 6 in a unit and it is very easy for the opponent to break them as they only need to kill one to force a panic test. I would drop them in favour of making the ifrebelly a level 2 beefing up the IG and putting in one of two sabretusks - the sabretusks may not achieve much combat wise but 1 of them counts as a unit which gives you a chance of deploying your iron guts right in front of the enemy's prized armoured unit
I'm way late and hopefully you've not abandoned the ogre forum altogether, but this has done me quite well.
L1 Butch w. charmed shield
BSB w. IF and HA
8x Ogres w. FC
8x Ogres w. FC
2x MFC w. HA, IF and a Musician
2x single sabertusks
If you want, you can trade 8x ogres with 6x IG's w. FC for added punch and that swap will make you 1000 exactly. Happy hunting!
