    [2000] Ogre Kingdoms---> Ogre Force

I guys, I've been thinking about reshaping my ogre list for a while, and I want to know what you guys think of this:

    Lords & Heroes

    Ogre Tyrant 293 pts
    Iron Fist, Cathayan Longsword,
    Heavy Armour, Gut Maw, Kineater

    Bruiser 186 pts
    Battle Standard Bearer, Heavy Armour,
    Wyrdstone Necklace, Luck Gnoblar

    Core

    7 Bulls 303 pts
    Musician, Standard
    Extra Hand Weapon

    7 Bulls 311 pts
    Musician
    Iron Fist, Light Armour

    4 Ironguts 202 pts
    Musician

    4 Iron Guts 202 pts
    Musician

    Special

    3 Leadbelchers 175 pts
    Musician

    3 Leadbelchers 175 pts
    Musician

    Rare

    Gorger 75 pts

    Gorger 75 pts

    Total 1997 pts
    Models 32

Any Thoughts or comments? I am not too sure about the gorgers, I haven't used them too often, maybe a scroll cady butcher to go along?

    Best Regards,
    Wolf_Pack

IMO I would use only 1 gorger as you need to roll to bring them in. Also go with a scroll-caddy butcher as you said as it will provide resisitance against particularly nasty spells. Im not so sure on 2 units of Leadbelchers. There a bit too random for my liking and so I would only use 1 unit of Lead belchers. Im not an expert on Ogres though

I agree on the droping a gorger, it does need some rolls and it's still a single model.

Agreed on leadbelchers, I guess a unit of 4?

I could also flush the bruiser and get 2 butchers, maybe I could flood the magic phase with all thos 3+ to cast spells ^_^

or for a single one I'dd still have to finder 80 pts to give him a scroll. Any ideas?

You have about 200 points left so you could easily fit in a Butcher with dispel scrolls. A unit of 4 Leadbelchers is fine. I would suggest gnoblars to flank or screen your units. Keep the bruiser. Alternatively you could get rid of the bruiser too as you said and add in another 4 Ironguts to one of the units to make it 8 man strong making them get better impact hits and use the points saved from the 2 Lead Belchers and the Gorger to buy a Butcher with dispel scrolls but im not sure on this.

definitly workable, but would the butcher onoly be a really expensive scroll cady? or I could downgrade the tyrant to really cheap, (loose the kineater) loose the bruiser BSB and add 2 butxchers, making them worth while?

Id keep the bruiser. It depends on you whether you want to keep the kineater on your tyrant as he is already strong enough. Im not so sure on using 2 Butchers. Id only use one but if you want to use 2 go ahead. I suggest beefing up one of the Ironguts units to 8 models (or both irongut units to 6 models) and buy a gnoblar screen but that is my opinion. But make sure you take at least one ogre butcher. The reason why i wouldnt use one is because ogre magic is pretty easy to dispel and even if you get some spell off there remain in plays spells and only at 3+ so opponents could easily dispell the spells when there in play

after the casting the ogre spells have a base power of 7, regardless of the total casting value.

you have a point thought, I'll stick to a butcher.

Oh yeah i forgot about the remains in play value. I cant help thinking that the 3 lone Ironguts dont belong or are you using them as a flanking unit?. Apart from that good army list.

they'll be a bait/ cheap flank unit, theys still have US 5 or more, to negate ranks. I could swap them out for some gnoblars, say 2 units of 25, and 10 trappers?

Depend on what you want to take and what army your facing. If your facing a missile army use the gnoblars as screens and the trappers to kill warmachines. But against combat armies go with the Ironguts. It depends on which you prefer.
