Now in Th edition it says you need models ranked 5 wide to get a rank, that would mean 10 bulls to get one rank (LUDICROUS that would also be 30 unit strength) So does that mean to get strength 5 bull charges I would have to rank them up this way? Or does it just mean say I have 6 bulls 3 front 3 behind meaning 3 impact hits or maybe 4 wide and 2 behind with 2 strength 5 hits and 2 strength 4 hits... yikes its perplexing.
Yeah, any bull with another bull behind him gets the extra str. You could go 3 wide and have 3 in back, but that seems kind of silly, too.
I was really hoping the Ogre FAQ would give us an exception to the five wide rule. I mean, 5 wide usually means either 100mm or 125mm of models across the front. 3 Ogres alone make 120 mm. To me it's about width. Oh well....got sidetracked a little.
yeah, last time I read it, basically no one gets rank bonuses anymore (unless you're playing a huge game or have a huge unit of ogres) but you still get the str impact bonus if you have a guy behind you (even one)
the x in the middle gets strength 5 instead of 4 like the other 2 x's
so it would be
that's the way I understand it.
