Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey again. Would It be possible to field an Ogre kingdoms "army" that depends alot on Hero or lord choises. Like 1000 Pts upwards or Giants. Basicaly big things, (like bigger than a normal ogre) Then mabey a "deathstar" (in other words a 10 strong unit of ironguts) Basicly throw as many power units down as you can. Possible to pull of or no ?
I'm not expert but from what I've been reading I'm not sure that will work. With Ogres you really need to be able to maneuver and have cheap baiting units that can set up flank charges. That huge unit of IG's may be able cause some damage but will probably be one of the only units in your army and will get out maneuvered quit easily. Thats just my perspective on things and remember I haven't even played a game yet.
Hope it help, sorry if it doesn't.

If I am reading correctly you are talking about fielding as many heroes as allowed and running the rest of the army in large units? It is entirely possible. If you would like to try a build like that here is one of my 2k builds that I have won consistently with.
Tyrant: Tenderiszer, Gutmaw, Mawseeker
Bruiser: Bsb, Warbanner
Butcher: Skullmantle, Siegebreaker
9 Ironguts: Standard, Bellower, (Tyrant, Bruiser, and Skullmantle Butcher here)
8 Ironguts: Bangstick Butcher here.
3 Bulls: No upgrades
3 Yhetee: No upgrades
Make certain to use terrain to your advantage where the yhetee are concerned. Place at least 2 pieces of impassible terrain, one close to each deployment zone. Use braingobbler with the skullmantle butcher. run the two units of guts no more than 8-12 inches apart and straight up the middle into the heart of his army. Once you get there just smash thru like there was no tomorrow.. If you like to bait then use the unit of bulls to do so. You can also use the yhetee to bait if you need to for the are fast, but they are better used for taking out heroes and war machines. For a little more information on how to play this BFU style of ogre army please refer to Demandreds newly completed Ogre Tactica. Good luck with it.
If you cant beat em, Eat em!!
Armies to date:
2500 Ogre Kingdoms
2500 Tomb Kings
1500 Space MArines
To stick with the theme dont forget to stick a Giant or two in there as a rare choice!

That dose sound like good list but I think your missing the idea Im going for. The reason I thought of this is my Chaos army that usualy dose not bad, where I field a ful kitted out lord a Exalted deamon and a Exhalted champion, All of Tzeench, which eats up usualy 1000 Ish. And I was wondering If aTyrant and a couple bruisers and a hunter could do the same thing, mabey a butcher instead of a bruiser for magic defence. Giants work well for this theme because they work similar to ogre heros. And then fill the rest up with either a dethstar or MSU units.
Most consistent ogre armies that win are already of the "Herohammer" Variety. In my 1500 pt lists I have all my heroes maxed out with a Bruiser and 2 Butchers, and in my 2k+ lists I use a Tyrant and 3 butchers. It's almost a necessity since Gut Magic does so much to help an Ogre army out.
I would highly recommend against giants though, they may seem like they could work similar to ogres, but with the loss of stubborn all they really do is break and flee.
But anyways, to answer in full. It's good to max out on characters, and then you can play MSU or BFU (whichever is your flavor) though as always I advocate MSU .

I was thinking more combat heros. And using them as the assault force. Also DoW giants can be taken and you can keep your stuborn
I think Butchers offer way more than bruisers to an army. They have gut magic, while still hitting hard in close combat with decent strength and 3 attacks apiece. Gear them with a siegebreaker or a magic sword (sword of battle or might) and you have a caster that is the equal to or better than most other races heroes.
You can get DoW giants, but I think that enough points are already spent on full characters and ironguts that they really aren't needed, even in the type of army you are proposing.

I dont like gut magic the short ranges make it a little bit weak for my liking. However Bruisers are fast hit hard (even without a big kit) and are also so much cooler. I realy dont want to do this army if i cant do it with combat heros. Im not trying to realy change it up to much im just asking if it would work.
I was thinking of this earlier... in a 2k Scragg army list, you can get him and 8 Gorgers for exactly 1000 pts, leaving 1000 pts for regular troops and such (no specials, but oh well, 8 Gorgers are worth it). Imagine 8 gorgers popping out behind the enemy lines!
