I wanted to start a discussion about this item and the potential usage in tournies.
Brahmir statue - All Leadership tests by skaven and Chaos are at a -3
Now when I'm normally playing or playing in small tounries this thing is never used even in friendly games where I know I am playing one of the affected armies.
But I got to thinking about it the other day in the perspective of Large tournement play in a field of 60+ participents.
Given the success of skaven and choas armies over the last several years I got to wondering why you wouldn't spend points on something that gave you an advantage over some of the most powerful competitors in the game. Slaanesh and Teeztch demon armies especially.
For Instance the last Lone wolf GT had 70participants of which there were 2 skaven and 9 chaos armies. Chaos ended up taking 5 of the top 11 spots. The year before that there were 5 skaven and 10 chaos with those aremies taking 1-3rd. 2005 saw 10 Chaos armies in about 34 participents with them taking 6 of the top 15 spots.
Yes I know that is one GT and army prevalances is somewhat geographical but I guess my point is why would you not try to work in something that provided a distint advantage over roughly 10-15% of the armies which could be present?
Basiclly I want to know what I am missing in the equation here? From my army I would have to give up 1 dispel scroll to fit the item in there in which 1 butcher would have skullmantle and the other might have this in place of a 3rd dispel scroll.
Has anyone used it against chaos or skaven, did it tilt the game heavily in your favor?

If you think you're going to face those armies in particular, then go for it. I don't see it making that big of a deal. Even against chaos, they'll probably outnumber you so you'll get hit on 6's. If you can break them - then yeah, it will really take it's effect then. I personally don't think 3 scrolls is necessary most of time, but I don't know your list. But it might be useful, if for 1-2games if you get lucky. It could also be completely useless (which is why I don't like it) I would think that by the next Lonewolf, HE would start getting the better of HoC, but that's just my opinion. I'm actually suprised that there were that many chaos armies. Are these big flying demon armies (they seem to come out at competative tournies)
