Welcome to Librarium Online!
gnoblars are funny, i think that the book should allow u to field an all gnoblar army, giving players the freedom to do this. This option may not be that popular with hardcore ok players, but i tend to find that if you have enough of them you can generally win combat res on ranks and out number alone. the look on the opponents face is usually rather amusing!!! also the scraplauncher is an amazing piece of artillery to use.
please post your own opinions/comments.
I think that there should be a special gnoblar character that allows you to take 2 units of gnoblars for every bull unit you take so that you wouldn't have to builid an army soley on bulls and gnoblars.... this could work also for a gnoblar-trapper character so that you wouldn't have to rely on the hunter to bring more than one trapper unit.
I havn't fallen in love with gnoblars yet, but I continously try to give them their chance.... IMO trappers are much more useful than fighters...
Id like to see some more gnob units in the ogre book, when ever that comes out....
esp, Gnob calvary units, and more artillery, and maybe some sort of gut magic for them
but then, that might be way to much like Orcs.
They did at one stage make a Gnblar armylist in a white dwarf, it had a whole heap of cool units, I cant really remember and i cant seem to find the magazine im looking for, but it had a gnoblar Honcho as a hero anda Head Honcho as Lord, plus piggy backriders, and a whole lot of crazy stuff, i found it really amuzing.
if i can find the WD ill post up the units in the list.

My girlfriend woke me up this morning and as such im in a faceacious mood.
Isn't the army you're all talking about called Goblins?
Switch your gnoblar models in for the gobbo units and you have yourself a good time. As I'm sure you're not looking to be competitive with this one I'm sure people will even let you cambing goblins from O+G and Gnoblars from OK. Might be quite a fun army. You'd certainly have a nice collection of artillary.
All gnoblar army? Nah, you're better off with goblins or lizardmen.
However, do not discount the ridiculous cost effectiveness of gnoblars. No matter how you use them, I can't see ever regretting using the little guys. At worst, you're out 40 points, but more often then not they can claim or contest a table quarter, tie up or distract your opponent, or even do a little damage.
Hell, in the last game I played, a unit of errant Bretonnian Knights defeated and overran a group of 2 leadbelchers, and ran right into a group of 20 gnoblars...and LOST! Yup, the little guys won the combat by two (thanks to their rank bonus) and chased the horsies away, allowing another Ogre unit to wipe them out. ^_^
