Welcome to Librarium Online!
Alright so I am starting an Ogre Army and I was wondering on 2 things.
1) Should I use a Gnoblar Scraplauncher or not? While it sounds good I do not know about the misfire chart...kinda nasty. Wondered what your thoughts were with them?
2) My army already has 2 Gorgers. Should I go for another group of 2 or go for 3 Yhetees? (I know points arent equivalent but generally speaking.)
Thanks for the help.
Armies: 40k: Imperial Guard, Orks Fantasy: Skaven
What does your army contain? Without any real idea of what your army has, Its kinda hard to help..

personally i like the scraplauncher, you still have to roll a misfire first and it's still hard hitting even if you don't fire it the entire game.
the only reason you would need 4 gorgers was if you were using skrag, in which case go with them. Otherwise go with yhetees
The scraplauncher attracts much fire so your ironguts can walk straight through.
The scrappy once killed a bloodknight vampire general in turn 1 so I had a lot of fun seeing his army crumble before I hardly got a charge on them
The worst thing I've ever had with a scraplauncher was when he misfired and gave 2 d6 strenght 5 attacks on my leadbelchers that panicked into my ironguts with bruiser that panicked too and got killed by a hard terrainpiece they ran into.. .
In that turn I lost about 600 pts because of a bad scrappy misfire!

1) I have mixed feelings about the Scraplauncher. It has performed decently in proxied play-tests but I just can't bring myself to buy and assemble that metal monstrosity.
2) Gorgers are unit size 1 so you can only get more than 2 if you are playing 3000+ point games or using Skragg. If you are playing the higher point games I would say a unit of Maneaters may serve you better than another Gorger.
every 2 gorgers in a skragg army only cost 1 special slot.
The book says: 2 gorgers may be taken for each special choice(rather than just 1)
Apparently the thing is a living nightmare to assemble and paint, but if you can endure that, it seems like a unit that can be used with a decent level of competitiveness. I've used it twice by proxy, and it wasn't so bad, but iirc it's move or fire. Mind you, it can still do some decent damage on the charge.
What has to be remembered is the Scrappy is a chariot first THEN an artillery piece, having said that the rhinox + impacts can do tons of damage with a supported charge, if you use it in this manner you won't be so iffy on the scrappy, I love it and its featured in every game I play.
YES! take a scrappy! I love having it...In fact, i love mine so much, im thinking about taking two.
Sometimes, its utterly useless, but other times youll wonder how you ever got along with out it.
and it does make for one hell of a chariot also.
so yes, def. take one.
as for the gorgers, id say two's fine. I only ran 3 yhettes once, and they did jack diddly, panicked and ran off the board.
