Seriously, why does no one use the spangleshard? I don't think I'm reading this thing wrong, but basically for each wound your guy suffers you roll a D6 and your opponent has to roll higher than whatever you roll to get the wound through. At the very least it is equivalent to a 5+ ward save (that's if you roll a 1).
If I am reading this wrong someone please correct me.

it goes if you roll higher than what your opponent rolls to wound then the wound is ignored. (i think anyway)
its not used because our charcters are T5 so most alot of things will wound you on a 5-6 which is hard to beat.
to me its to save you fron the big gys and cannonballs and such that will wound you on a 2+, but they could still roll high when rolling to wound and you wont be able to save it anyway

That's exactly the point. It becomes a ward save with very random results. More often than not just a plain old 6+ ward save at that.
