I was wondering how he performs, with no Armor, even with his high T, seems like he'd go down from missile fire, except he can get a Regen cast on himself or heal a wound.

Plus, he's very cool. Do his 2 Gorgers have to be with him as a unit, the book is unclear...

Also, does it makes sense to take him and 8 Gorgers??? Maybe 4 on the board and 4 off to start?

I just love his kill bonuses, if you can get him into comabt and killing things, his Gorgers become awesome. But how many models can he really kill in cc in one 6 turn game? He doesn't have that many attacks, plus, you have to get him there!

So, I just wanted some input because I haven't had a chance to playtest him yet

    Ok.

1)Skrag is TOUGH. He has T6, W5. Thats better than almost any other creature ANY other army can muster. He takes wounds from range and magic before getting into combat, especially from empire and HE armies, and often hes down to 1 or 2 wounds. He kills ONE PERSON, and he has full wounds again. And then he gets regeneration. He doesnt NEED armour..

    2) I assume that he doesnt need to be in a unit with them, as there is only one word to indicate this (acompannied). It doesnt say he must be JOINED by them, so. And the gorgers come on later, so he really cant be..

    3) 8 gorgers cost 600 points. Add Skrag, and thats 1000 pts. Alot. And anyway, ALL gorgers come on from turn 2+. THey cant start on the board.

    4) He can kill alot. Basic A4, two hand weapons, Frenzy. Six attacks. He kills with five in one turn, he gets a binus attack. Seven. Yeah, I think he could kill. And he can march/charge 12", so hes pretty fast. He could probably get there and kill alot. Even if he doesnt, its because hes been blown apart by range, probably. That means that most of your army is unscatehed. Thats good.

    Hope I helped.

Even if he doesn't get into combat isn't he a slaughtermaster as well? Chucking spells about is nasty.

I think having read the profile of Skrag he is potentially very bent indeed, lethal in combat and can soak up wounds until he gets there and kills something. If you put him in a unit of bulls its very difficult to shoot at him anyway.

And the best thing is hes one of the few characters you can play with in a basic 2000 pt game! Cheap for all he does, isnt he?

Are you sure? I thought you could only pick a slaughtermaster if the army had a tyrant in it? Which means you need 2 lord slots that you don't get in a 2000 point army.

noooo.... It says that he doesnt to have a Tyrant in te same army, which makes sense because he slaughtered his tyrant and most other tyrants are a bit scared of him.

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting skrag, I like the model alot more than greasus goldtooth, and he seems really lethal...at least he can walk.

I also wish OK had more characters...armies like tomb kings, empire, and chaos have like 5 special characters...I wish we had one who was just a pure combat powerhouse, who was like 600 or 700 points...but that might make us a bit cheesy.

Its the first Army Book ever. They need time to build up the background and stuff like the others. Like the way theyve built up a rivalry between boris Todbringer and Khazak, or whatever the beasts name is.

A massive powerhouse would be great. Greasus GOldtooth isnt worth anything. He isnt worth 2 lords.

Skrag is amazing for the points, but hey hes cheezy. Hes the only way to get magic heavy in 2000pts which is NASTY! combat master, and gorgers are amazing with him, counting as special choices. Truly great for his points. Too bad special characters arent aloud in tourneys! LOL! Unbeatable!
