I should be getting 2x4 Ironguts and 6 bulls off ebay within the next few days. However I have yet to get the army book or play a game with OKs so Im calling for some veteran help.
Assuming that Ironguts are mainly made from bull ogre sprues with an extra sprue for their GWs and extra armour, should I go with either:
--8 ironguts and 6 bull ogres
--10 bull ogres and 4 ironguts (ill keep the irongut extra sprues for when I get more bull ogres, which I can then make into ironguts)
Option 2 seems to be the most viable to me to start OKs with as the ironguts are more elite units and then when I get more bulls I can use the irongut sprues on them.
Secondly what should I get next apart from the army book (which Im going to get on saturday hopefully)? I was thinking a butcher/bruiser and mabye some yetees for flanking.
Yeah, having 10 ogres and 4 ironguts is a good idea, or you could do 8 ogre bulls and 6 ironguts, but definitly have more bull ogres to start with.
Next I would definitly get a bruiser and some yhetees, and if you have some more money left over mabye a unit of gnoblars and a hunter down the road...those are some nice units to start out with, and my hunter has truly been a fun experience to use on the battlefield.
Here I am, Rock you like a Hurricane.

10 bulls and 4 ironguts are a great option. You can also look at doing 2 units; one of 7 ogres with full command, a flanking unit of 3 bulls (crusher only maybe :hmm: ) and one unit of 4 ironguts with full command. The unit of 7 bulls would be ideal for sticking a bruiser in it to give you one rank.
Yhetees and gorgers should be next on your shopping list, along with characters (one each of bruisers and butchers!.
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.
Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.

They are more than just extra bits. If you try and make bulls wiht them, theyll be missing bits, like the command sprue and some arms.
10 Ironguts and 6 Bulls is good. Put characters with the 'guts and watch people run away fast.
I might convert one of the ironguts to be a bruiser and have a massive squad of 8 ironguts
yeah im planing on having 3 units of of six bulls with full command and 2 units of 'guts with 6 and full comand
and i reckon that the iron guts are going to have a added sprew with different helmets and arms
i bought my first bull unit today WOOO
any way thats my thoughts

Get the bull+ option, they are your core. Next the army book, then a butcher maybe or tyrant, then its up to you, yhetees are cool but they are expensive, i think £9 each here in England.
