Im still learning the rules but at the same time I am assembling my OK army and I could use some help with 5 questions:

1. Can butchers move and cast?

2. Is it worth putting a butcher in a group of bulls instead of solo and near the bulls?

3. What does a battle standard bearer do? (cant find in rules, im still looking)

4. At roughly what point value should I use a BSB (e.g. 1500, 2000)

5. Is it worth getting a lookout gnoblar?

Any help would be much appreciated

1. Yes, magic is not a move or use ability
2. Yes, his spells are relatively short ranged (6")

4. Any points is viable, it will depend on whether you think its needed or you have the pts
5. Yes, not having a Tyrant squashed by a cannonball may come in handy

Personally, I've not felt much need for a BSB in anything up to 2k points of ogres... I'm tight enough on points with these guys without having to worry about another character (I use a tyrant and 2 butchers... Another hero will take out a large percentage of the models used in the army)

As for Lookout Gnoblars... If your enemy has artillery, then definitely use 'em. If not, it's a waste of 5 points. Of course... 5 points in an OK army doesn't really go very far, and the little crow's nest thing on the banner does look pretty damn cool...

On your second point, I like to field butchers in a large unit with a lookout gnoblar. They can fight pretty well in CC, keeping them out of the unit is not their best us IMO.

On your last point (further to what I've said above), remember to take lookout gnoblars for any unit with a character in it vs artillery heavy enemies.
