Welcome to Librarium Online!
Im creating a 1000pt army against dwarves. As far as I heard, dwarves don't use any offensive magic, so is there any use for adding defensive magic for me? Also what are some good units to use against dwarves, thanks for the help in advance.

I'm a veteran dwarf player so I think I can help you. First of all, Dwarfs have some magic. The runelords can take anvils of doom (really powerful magic), so yes on the defensive magic if it's a big battle. Also, the Dwarves are easily out flanked, so use your ogres speed (or noblar's, whichevers faster) to out flank them. Hope this helps. Good luck (you'll need it against the dwarves!.

Dwarfs are also rock ard, but you are also. but unless you are in a large battle i mean huge battle dont worry about there magic except for their runes on artilery which can smash you orges face in. if he goes shooty, you'll be neeing larger units . say he has 2 units of thunderers and a unit of crossbows, 2 botlers, cannon and a organ gun . i say you lines would have taken quite a beating so you wont want them running away. also thunderers are good in combat also, 4+ save they shot drop guns pull out axes or swords. GOOD LUCK!

I've played against Dwarves before, and the biggest problems I had with them were their shooty type units, Cannons, and Thunderers especially, hated those lil' buggers.
He also used some Hammerers, Miners, Slayers, and regular Dwarf warriors, which were actually not that big of a problem. The high amount of attacks you have will help you a good amount.

Ogre Kingdoms 4/1/1
Word Bearers: 2/0/0
I've been collecting dwarves for a few years and I've played about a dozen games with them, though I've haven't had the chance to play Ogres yet, but here's my input:
Magic defense: Don't bring any. He can't bring the anvil of doom unless he brings a lord character, and most dwarf players I know find them too expensive anyway. Without the anvil (or an expensive DoW character), he can't cast any magic.
Shooting: You have two options; either bring a gorger and maybe some trappers or ignore it. At 1000 pts he'll likely be fielding two or three war machines max, I usually used only two. I would find some stone-chucking trappers somewhat of a nuisance, possibly tying up a war machine or two, and the appearance of a gorger would easily ruin his shooting phase. Regarding the latter tactic, you can't rely on shooting alone to win the game, and you're only looking at two turns of being shot at, if that. Big units, a gorger and some trappers would seem to do the trick.
Close combat: If he fields the above mentioned war machines, he will likely have enough points left for two 16+ units of warriors or elites. Most dwarf players field either ironbreakers or hammerers- the ironbreakers have a great armor save but won't be hitting you very hard, while the hammerers are stubborn if with the general, and have very high strength attacks. I would try to get the bruiser and his unit into combat with the elites, and use another big unit to charge his second block. A small unit of flankers would probably help.
Anyway, I haven't had the chance to use the Ogres myself, so take this all with a grain of salt. But don't let the shooting scare you too much- once he sees some scouting, skirmishing and / or ambushing units he'll likely be as stressed as you. And he won't be moving much, so take advantage of the initiative and land some crazy bull charges!
definately give your tyrant a seigebreaker
