So do you use these guys? I've heard people rave about them. I'm not crazy for the models, but the ignoring terrain business could be huge.
I wish there were better models for them, though.
EDIT: What do you think of these?
3D6 pursue could be useful. If used to support a charge with, say, a unit of ironguts, they could well be the unit which runs the enemy down (assuming they break).
Their speed and high strength means that they're an early threat, especially if you take a couple of units. From what I've seen, they tend to perform better than Gorgers, Leadbelchers and Maneaters.
The downside is that they are darn expensive cash wise :-(
They are our only "fast cav" unit and do the job very well. They should be used to shape the enemies movement and to support on flank charges. They can take out lightly outfitted mages and warmachines but watch out, they aren't that killy. They do an amazing job forcing your opponent to cover flanks we otherwise wouldn't be able to get too.
Yeah, other than their movement, the stats aren't that impressive. The -1 to be hit in combat certainly helps, but against anything with WS 4 or better, it's still not that great.
I guess I'll proxy a few models and see what I think.
Yhetee's are somewhat situational and like Gorgers and leadbelchers they seem to do best working in concerted pair units.
meaning if I am fielding 1 unit of yetees I usually alocate points enough for 2 and put a longstriding bruiser or hunter with them. this unit then controls one full side of the board. Problem with yettees I found is that they aren't ogres and don't benefit from ogre gut magic to help protect them. they also get mauled on frontal attacks, in support from the flank though they are tremendously effective, especially with a major ogre like the hunter or bruiser supporting them.
Didn't the Ogre list which came third at the GT UK run 6 Yhetees?
