Hi guys, I've been using this list in the last couple of practice games. So far, it's been OK. From five games, I've got two "massacre" results, one "solid victory" and two "draws".
BO Big Boss (joins Boyz)
Bigged's Kickin' boots
NG Shaman (joins a NG unit)
30 Night Goblins
30 Night Goblins
21 Night Goblins
Musician + SB
19 Orc Boyz
5 Forest Goblin Spider Riders (Two units of this guys... they rock !)
Total 998 pts.
Today I've got another practice game. My army is kind of limited because I'm just starting so what you see is what I've got Could you give me some advice to improve it ? (if possible)
Also, if you would have another 250 points to use. What would you include ? More magic (another gobbo shaman) ? big 'uns ? Thanks !
Thank you for your answers !
I think three really great things to consider adding would be,
1) A pair of spear chukkas/ a stone thrower - Adds some long range non-magic reliant punch which can knock off ranks from strong combat units.
2) Combat Cavalry/Chariots - or Both. This would add to the pressure on your opponent from turn one, as a block of even 5 orc or savage boar boys racing towards your line can divert resources such as power dice which would be better served being used on the part of your army which will win you games - the blocks of infantry. A boar chariot in particular can do the work of a whole unit of black orcs, if it's given the chance to engage the enemy head-on, and can be really fun to use!
3) Shaman. Another basic lvl 2 goblin shaman would deal with a lot of the problems you might encounter from magic heavy forces, and giving him at single dispel scroll would boost your emergency magical defence - there are times when scrolls are really needed, it's 25 points which can possibly save the green orcy bacon of entire units when the times comes.
This was an interesting question to come up with answers for, thankyou for posting!
Possibly consider droping on unit of Gobbo's and investing in a chariot or even 5 boar boyz it will only cost 110 points, and it will add sum much need punch to the force, also even consider trolls as I feel they are a very cool part of the O&G force!
Other than that dude I think it looks cool, you must let us know how the games go!
I'm still playing this list and it's been giving me solid victories (figuratively, not literally ) in all of my games. I've tried it against Empire, DE, Lizards and OK. Chaos, HE and WE are next ! I'm thinking that maybe against HE I'll have some serious trouble (first strike rule )
I've been toying with the Big'Uns option and it has worked so far. I'm not sure that they're worth the cost at this point level. Will they work at 1250 ?
I absolutely LOVE gobbo magic ! It's great, I think only the first magic missile is a "meh" spell. I'm definitely adding another gobbo shaman in my 1250 point list.
I'll post very soon my new 1250 point list to get your always valuable opinions. Keep in mind that my limited collection will still be an issue.
HE is always a problem with O&G on top of the strike first rule, we also suffer from their hatred and the fact that they cause fear to our goblins if they outnumber us 2 to 1 doesn't help
Are you allowed to run proxies? It will allow you to toy around with different units so you can get a good feel for how they work. So in that case you will need some artillery to soften up those HE.

Two droids walk into a bar. The bartender says "Hey, we don't serve your kind here.", so they leave.
