A friend has challenged me to a 2500pt battle (O&G vs Dwarves) in a weeks time. I need some help on tactics vs dwarves and advice on my list. We dont play that often but i have a fair idea of what he will bring and i know he'll have geared his army for anti O&G.
I know for certain he will have a tooled out lord, a runesmith, 3 Blocks of warriors/longbeards some with GW, 10 thunderers, 10 Quarrellers, 20 ironbreakers, 10 miners, 2 cannons (or 1 cannon, 2 bolt throwers), Flame cannon, organ gun.
Theres no point taking magic, as he being dwarves, will just dispell it. This also means he's probably wasting points on magic defence =)
Please be aware that i am limited to what models i have however if you think it is really necessary, i can borrow from another friend who plays O&G. So heres the list.
Black orc warboss - HA, Boar, Enchanted shield, Umm's best boss hat, Shagas screamin sword (goes with the savage orcs on foot) - 270
Night gobbo big boss - BSB, Wallopas one hit wonda, Amulet of protectyness (goes with the Night gobbos or black orcs) - 95
Savage orc big boss - Chariot, LA, spear, shield, Ironback boar - 196
Savage orc big boss - Chariot, LA, Martogs best basha, shield, - 174
23 Savage orc big un's - Extra choppas, Full command, Waagh! banner - 317
41 Night gobbos - Full command, 3 fanatics
5 Spider riders - 65
5 Spider riders - 65
10 orc arrer boyz - 60
20 Black orcs - Shields, Full command, Noggs banner - 343
6 Savage orc boar boyz - Spears, Shields, Full command, War banner - 213

Total = 2500 (I think)
Other models i have are 10 more arrer boys, 20 night gobbo archers and a troll
(plus plenty of other characters)
Any advice, comments or criticism welcome.
Also feel free to share your past experiences with Dwarves.
Can you get more Night Goblins in there? I'm a huge fan of fanatics against Dwarves- they have few units that can trigger early release and their static lines are great for multiple hits.
Try and split the hoppers in to two units, if you can and send them bounding around the flank. They can harrass warmachines and are one of the most annoying things to target. Cannons and bolt-throwers can usually only knock out one at a time (so often don't bother) and bowmen/handgunners have to keep turning to keep them in arc.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
What about this? Drop the night gobbos down to 29, drop the 10 orc archers and add 24 NG bowmen, and an extra fanatic. Then split the 4 fanatics between the 2 units. I would send the NG archers marching towards any hills lined with war machines or gunners and fire all 24 bows at them. They could then support my core troops by releasing fanatics and mabye get a flank charge and provide 3 ranks.

I would send the NG bowmen marching towards any hill lined with war machines or gunners and fire all 24 shots at them, and then support my fighty troops by releasing fanatics and mabye a flank charge.This leaves me one point over (he wont mind).
I would split the hoppers into two units of six but then i would have to drop another special choice and i really dont want to do that.
Also what about dropping Umm's best boss hat in favour of Imbads iron gnashas on my warboss?. Could work wonders against heavily armoured dwarf characters and infantry but leaves my general less protected.
