This list isnt so good, i know that, but its what i got so far. I also have a wyvern and 2 snotlingswarms....
your lord he looks okay i guess
but instead of borgut take 1 black orc heros and put him in a squad that is upgraded to big uns
and take a night goblin wizard as well
and for your night goblins why do you have 3 fanitics in that squad you have equiped them with short bows so i take it you are going to be shooting with them so take out the fanitics
the black orcs will form a solid line for you boys to follow up on
and what you could always do is take a night goblin squad a small one not worth anything give them sields though you will need them to survive and be able to get with in about 7 inches of the enimies most elite troops and have 3 fanitics in that group and they will do major damage to their hardest troops
other than that it looks pretty good but you might want to have some more foot troops in there because you have may elite troops like giants and trools and black orcs but are all expensive and if they get targeted by enemy artillery then you have lost for sure because you just dont have enough boys in there
hope this helps i will try to come up with for you if i can find the time
i wont trade borgut. A common black orc takes two her choices as well and then then the auto-biguns rule dont apply. Borgut is perfect in challenges thanks to the facebeater-attack and 1+ armsave which you can re-roll. To use biguns without borgut i need a regular unit as well in addition to the orcs i uppgrade( the rulebook says so if im right.)
The nightgoblins will never end up in close combat and even if so, their stats and lack of armour will guarantee a loss. So i just shoot with the few nightgoblins in the front rank, shoots with the wolfriders, casts magic and hurls boulders with the rock lobber until my opponent is pissed of enough to run right into the fanatic-trap.....Maybe i should put the goblin shaman in the night gobbo unit and give him mad cap....( then i must uppgrade him to night goblin shaman)
About the very big and expensive units: I didnt use my brain when i bought models at first.
many packs of regiments seemed incredibly boring to paint and the big things seemed so fun... i didnt even know what outnumbering and rankbonuses and such was back then!
However, i did have a brain when buying the giant. terror and thoose specialattacks is pretty good, but when facing shooty enemies i consider the giant dead from the start....
Trolls is good sometimes. And by that i mean when they dont fail their stupidity test.
But im not sure if im gonna choose stonetrolls or rivertrolls! or not uppgrade them at all....
Can the rock lobber get a line of sight over a bunch of snotlingswarms?
Is glowy green amulet pointless sucide?
Is it worth giving black orcs shields?
Can I win a single game with this list?!
Has many more questions and stupid ideas if you wanna hear em.....
hmm the giant will also draw fire away from you units giving them time toget into cc and sorry i forgot that black orcs take up 2 choices then by all means go with borgut
hmm i would have to check the rules for you but if you think normally it would get los over snotlings because well they are tiny but the rules might be different iwill check into that for you
you can also use the wolf riders and attack their flanks as well so charge your units in front then wheel the wolfriders around and him thweir flanks
Would be very nice if you could check the line of sight-lobber-snotling-thing. Thanks in advance. I didnt find it in the line of sight-section, but after all I am from sweden and reading every piece of the book correctly is a bit hard for me..
And the wolfriders... do they have 2 each in unit strength? And is it wise to give them bows?
I have bows with them usually but I havent had much sucess.. damn those shortbows!
And i just have to ask.. Do you use trolls when you play? I cant decide between river and stone-uppgrade. They and the giant move 12.... you think they block line of sight to the giant?
Thanks for all the help so far and greetings from sweden!
If I remember correctly, you can't take Big 'Uns without having a unit of normal orcs. Don't have the rule in front of me, but I am pretty sure that they can't be taken on their own.
Yes, i think you are right about that, but if i take borgut he makes them biguns without the normal unit of orcs. I kind of like borgut....and the model looks pretty cool too.
What would you think of using Grimgor or maybe wurrzag in the list?
