The Giant stays, its just such a sight (and pleasure) watching my opponent luck in utter confusion when 60 Gobbos are put on the table, and then a Giant!

I never thought of putting a standard bearer in a 1000 pts list and if you can do without him then heres my advice.
take your standard bearer down to a night gobbo big boss with about the same points as your other big boss. maybe give him ikits ring and mortogs best basha im not entirely certain as I dont have the army book with me right now.
also dont give ur gobbo archers a full cmnd, just a musician so they rally better. from what I can remember 20 night gobbos with bows and musician costs only 64pts so then with ur saving on the big boss you can afford two regiments of 20 night gobbo archers.
apart from that its a good list. have fun with the giant

I would say a standard bearer is a good idea in a goblin army, after all with their low leadership they might need those break test rerolls. You might have to drop something to get a basic shaman for magic defense, or even a slightly more powerful shaman for a bit of magic offense. It depends really on what kind of magic your opponents might be taking. If they don't have any then you don't need the shaman.

Looks nice! I'm pretty new to O&G and Fantasy in general (I play IG and GK 40k most of the time). Quick related question since this looks similar to my Night Gobo army... How do you recomend ranking the units? ie: 5 across the front and 8 ranks deep or some other way?
I like it, but just a few tweaks.
Fanatics will do more damage than nets saving wounds. Nets are a bit pricey for a chance or hurting you. I'd drop the nets for more Fanatics.
Madcap Mushrooms never really did much for me. Rerolling is nice, but if you have enough Fanatics, you can fall back on dice rolling ratios, 3x Fanatics= about 10 hits.
The Sneaky Skewerer is a great weapon, but its so focused on heavily armored troops, it gets wasted if you're charged by rank and file units. Nibbla's 'Itty Ring is a great weapon for taking out unit champions.
At 1000 points, magic can still be devistating. With so many magic missles out there, no magic defence will lead to a lot of ranged wounds. I'd swap out the big Boss for a Shamen. All the Goblin spells are useful too.
