    2000 Orcs & Goblins first list

    I am going to use this list for both friendly and competitive games. Its my first warhammer list ever so any suggestions would be great. My friend to me that magic plays a large part in most battles and can mess up your plan big time. I hope my magic defence is enough or it might be to much im not quite sure.

    The exstra goblins is so that I had 2000 pts exsactly. My brain is not quite working right now because its late but im pretty sure I got the points right. My strategy is pretty much sling spells and shoot hopefully taking care of alot of models. Send the squig hoppers in first so they can use their Boiing special rule and hold my line. I planning on useing my army in an upcoming torney so any advice would be great. Wow I just figured out that I can have about eight dispell dice thats seems a bit excessive but that would be fun to trow off my friend whoplays a magic heavy high elf army.

    ok. this list is really really not legal. at all....

    1. spirit totem can only be held my an orc
    2.you may only have up to 4 characters in a 2000 point list (1 lord and/or up to 4 heros for a max total of 4 characters
    3. you have 5 special choices taken... you may only take 4
    4. you only have 4 dispell dice not eight (see point 1)

    i suggest buying the book and reading it cover to cover.... thats number one when starting a new army/game.

    only thing i can help you with at this point is to make your squigs 7-10 strong droping the other unit (thus helping you have the max 4 specials)

    redo your list; fixing these mistakes and then we will be able to help you better.

    Woops I guess its really not a good idea to come up with an army list at 3 in the morning. I'll post the new list soon sorry about that.

    Alright heres my fixed list. I dropped the giant to throw in the orcs and futher add to my numbers. Now if i'm reading the rules correctly I now have 8 dispell dice maybe nine.

    i like the idea behind this list. pretty good anti-magic with the scrolls... but you're still only getting 4 dispell dice. and you'll be lucky to get any magic off in a 2000pt game with anyone that has a more magic oriented army.... or dwarfs (average around 4-5 dispell dice)
    i like skarsnik and gobbla. i use them in my all gobbo list with a BSB with bad moon banner and like 27 gobbos. oh yeah, remember that skarsnik and gobbla is going to take up 2 or more slots in your unit...meaning if your going to put him in a unit with a shaman an off numbered unit will make it an even block of troops (22, 27, 32, 37 + 3 bases)
    Drop the command on your spiders except the musician (for rallying) and make it 2 units of 5. Spiders work best as an irritant for weak men at arms or flankers. and 10 of them in one unit is to much.
    The list looks pretty good (and legal ) just remember to use correct target priorities and you should be fine

    Those goblin units are VERY expensive, I'd rather drop both down to 30, lose the netters and get another unit of 30 more with short bows and a fanatic.

    The points on the black Orcs are wrong, I'd give them shields as well as they will be a target for shooting, other than that the unit is very good.

    I'd agree with two unit of 5 spider riders rather than one of 10.

    Nice list... but lets crack it down.

    Fiirst, wheres the bsb man, i might have read over it but comon.

    Second, i would suggest losing a unit of goobos for a unit of orcs, a standard 25 not 20 block... which leads me to my third point.

    Third, make the block of 20 orcs to 25, a unit of 20 is going to loose rank quikly and get outnumbered.

    Fourth, i like how you have 4 chukkas, good work.

    Fifth, why do you have 2 units of squigs, they are unrelible and will have to take a panic test when one dies. Take 1 unit and get some leftover points to get more spiders or wolf riders, put them in groups of 5 with bows.

    Sixth, Take an orc shaman and a night, not2 night shamans, you should use both magic, especially since the big waaagh is strong as crap and awesome if you roll and get Waaagh!!!.

    This list is illegal. You have too many characters. You are allowed 4 in a 2,000pt game. You have 5.
