    Taking the plunge? Night Goblins

After being without a real idea on where to go in the Warhammer hobby, I think I now finally know what I want. Turns out it is the idea I have had since I first got in this hobby and saw my first battle: a Night Goblin army taking on an army of (I think) Empire. That was back in the days of 3rd or 4th edition. I do remember the Squigs went on a carnage festival to feast on the other sides' intestines and the Fanatics made a nice squish out of their own troops. Needless to say; they did what Night Goblins do best: going completely random, wiping out their own troops and painting smiley faces on all who watch the battle take a turn somewhere around turn 5.

After seeing the beautiful work of mousekiller on his Night Goblin army, I knew why I first got interested in this hobby: just having fun and going mad with Goblins giving the finger to all who dare to walk in their path of squabble.

    So where am I now?
I have some goblins in the cupboard here which I plan to start painting. But to give me a goal, I am thinking about buying the "Warhammer Armies: Orcs&Goblins" (since you can't say to the shopkeeper to keep the Orcy part ) to complete my Bretonnia, Hordes of Chaos, Dwarfs and Ogre Kingdoms collection of armies I once considered playing and bought the book for. But this time with the goal to create a nice 100 -> 500 -> 1000 list so I can start out small and expand from there.

This thread may be a bit early to start already, but I really want to complete a nice small army which looks good on display and is fun to play, should I get that far.
So what do I want out of this army? Pure fun and randomness seems like a good idea. That means: Squigs, Fanatics and Snotlings. Those will support my core of Night Goblins armed with whatever seems best at the time of construction and one or two units of bowmen.

So; in order to get somewhere, do some of you have links to army showcases of Night Goblins that stand out of the crowd? I have seen the one from mousekiller and I love it a LOT.

A 100 points list seems like a good start to test out some colour schemes and establish a theme for my army of ravenous madmen.

I'm very sorry for this rather incoherent post, but I intend to complete this thread with my choices and progress so you guys can help me out along the way. Any tips, hints and encouragement are welcome!

what you need = 'battle for skull pass box'
it contains over 120 €'s (dunno the $) of pure night goblin stuff
    - 2 regiments spear+shield
    - 1 regiment bow
    - a night goblin shaman
    - 10 forest goblin spiders
    - night goblin big boss (with this cute little squig :p)
    - 1 troll

and this all for 50 €
+ it contains a similar entire dwarf army. If you have a friend who you can sell this too
you can get an entire 120 for 25 €. That's like 5 times cheaper than buying them in regiment boxes. And for me as an extra: it contained the rule book and all dices,... you need for the game (since i didn't have them before)

It's also cheaper than the army deal since that contains orcish regiments you don't need in your all goblin army.

I've bought 2 skull pass boxes to supply my all goblin army aswell
    it's a very cheap deal

    as for the army itself
i'm not planning to do any tournaments, but like yourself, play for fun, with loads of squigs, squighoppers, night gobos and some crazy random gobo magic

Thanks for the tip! I will take a look at this option. Thing is, I already have 2 Warhammer starter sets and I've never even played a decent 1000pt game. It is certainly a good option.
I'm first going to get the army book and see where it takes me.
