So hopefully someone can ansewer my question.
Im searching to expand my ocs and goblins army, and i have enough saved up for the Ocs and Goblins Army Box. Keep in mind this isnt the battallion, this one is listed to contain the following:
40 Orc Boyz
20 Night Goblins
20 Black Orcs
10 Spider Riders
2 Orc Bosses
Now i was looking at the picture, and the Box lists that it contains 40 Orc boyz, but the picture only shows that it gives you 35 orc boyz. Now id rather not loose a whole rank, and ive noticed that games workshop has made this kind of slip up on the contents of a regiment box before (the orc boy box set, under list of minitures it says the box only contains 16 boys, which is wrong). So i was wondering if anyone has purchased this box and can confirm for me whether or not it is 35 orc boys, or 40 as is indeed listed.
I suppose I'd call and ask, but I've heard people comment before about pictures often having errors in them, like models that can't join certain units being in that unit. Wrong number or just a silly size that nobody would ever play.
I haven't bought that box, but I'd say the listed contents are what you should expect. If it were different, I'd call GW and make a friendly complaint. They've been good with me in the past about taking care of errors.
Thanks alot, im heading into my Local GW later today, so ill ask them there.
Hopefully it is the 40 orc boys as listed
This reply might be a little late, but you can always go 50/50 with a dwarf friend on the Battle for Skull Pass box set, you get a lot of gobbo's for $25 and the nifty handy dandy mini rulebook and all the other extras. Then just buy orcs to fill in the gaps of what you need. I honestly have no idea if its more cost effective, its just an idea.
Whereabouts do you live? If you're in the UK, we have a lovely little thing called the Sale of Goods Act.
If GW are listing the army box as containing 40 Orcs and you buy it only to discover it has 35. They legally have to provide you with the exact product that you entered a contract to buy. Either that, or they have to give you a refund.
Most retailers would prefer to keep the sale. I can't see 5 Orcs burning a big hole in their pocket.
A lot of the time, pcitures on retail websites are for "illustration purposes only". Always check the written specification. THAT is what you are agreeing to buy from them. If you get less than what they specify, they have to sort it out for you. If they give you more than is specified.... keep quiet about it
Ah, I think I can help here. I've bought the army set a while ago, and while I haven't put the orcs together yet and the box isn't immediately at hand right now, I'm pretty sure I can remember what was in it.
When I got it I was a bit confused about just how many orc boyz I would be getting due to the fact that the boyz are on a sprue of 4 but the command is on a seperate sprue of 3 models. I figured that it probably wouldn't be the exact 40 that it says it is due to that.
What you actually get is basically the equivalent of two boxes of orc boyz - that is 32 regular boyz and 2 full commands to make a total of 38 models. Hopefully that will help anyone thinking of getting the army box.
Actually, I really need to get working on these greenskins...I've had them a while, and there's a lot of assembling to be done...
In Australia we have the same box and advertised in White Dwarf it has 35 Orc warriors.
I hope this will help?

I don't see why GW lists the numbers of boyz differently in different places, and why they seem to think they have to list the number as a multiple of 5.
I've just been to check the contents of my Army Box, and you do get what I thought before. That is two orc boyz regiment boxes' worth of boyz giving you 32 regular boyz and two full commands (38 models in total).
