    Dogs of War

I was reading the O&G's Army Book and was a bit angry because in the Rare choices part it didn't say Dogs of War could be used in a Waaagh.

I was originally going to collect Ogre's but realised Orcs looked better and had more numbers, so I thought I'd collect Orcs and have Ogre Dogs of War.

Does this mean I can use Dogs of War as a Rare choice or can't Orcs 'hire' units to fight for them?

    Thanks.

Nope - no Dogs of War for the greenskins. The mercs probably aren't willing to be paid in teef. How about using the ogres to represent gluttonous trolls?

because of this thread, I created an account after lurking for a week or so.

I just called the US Hobby Center and they stated that DoW's are still valid. Every army book won't have them printed in their books now, but what you need to do is go online to the Dogs of War page and find which army can take them and which army can't.

So to answer your question, yes Orcs and Goblins can take Dogs of War (I have been using Ogre Bulls in mine )

I asked the same question at my local and got the same reply.

Its on the GW site, where it states what armies can use what.

If that's true, then good for the Orcs. When it comes time for a RAW interpretation though, the greenskins are in trouble. Without something explicit in their book (as there is in other books), it reads as though they can't take them.

Having received contradicting answers to the same question asked of GW Direct and a few redshirts, I'm not always inclined to listen to their interpretation.

Go for it. Ogres make up some great power in a otherwise rather weak orcs and goblins army
