Welcome to Librarium Online!
I still can't decide which night goblin hero setup to use as an additional support hero for a 2000pt army.
Night goblin big boss, light armour, shield, Porko's pig stikka, Great cave squig
Night goblin big boss, light armour, shield, Wollopa's one hit wunda, Brimstone bauble, wofl chariot, extra wolf, extra crew
I'm leaning towards the chariot big boss because a) there are going to be two orc boar chariots with it b) it's less random than the squig big boss c) it has the potential to dish out a lot of damage to a unit
However I also have a unit of 8 hoppers in the army and I think an extra squig hopping around is good for annoying the enemy, e.g. threatening war machines, etc.
Ideally, I would have both because I love the idea of crazy, sacraficial type goblin heroes but I don't have the points.
Please help me decide!!
I think I like the idea of the wolf chariot. Nothing better than threatening a unit 18 inches away. I think I also like Pig Stika on that unit.
4 impact hits (about average)
3 wolf attacks
2 chariotiers attack
6 Boss attacks
good chance of breaking a unit out right.
Only thing I am not sure about is if you can have a thrid wolf and extra crew member/wolf with a Character's chariot. If you can I would propose the item that has the possiblity of giving you frenzy and hatred. And to please your love of random things it could make you stupid too. Nothing worse than a stupid goblin!
At any rate nothing will get across the board faster and annoy warmachines than a chariot that breaks a unit on a first turn charge and pursues the enemy!
I may pose the additional Chariot question as it's own seperate post.
Hey man, I play Orcs & Goblins and when you put a character (hero or Lord) is put in a chariot you take the crew out... makes sense big boss rides alone.
First read the discussion. We are talking about if you can upgrade the chariot.
Then read your army book. It says he replaces one crew member not the enire crew. so if you could buy an extra crew member for the chariot there would be 2 chairiotiers attacking with the big bos. But in another thread we found that you can NOT upgrade a chars chariot so no 3rd wolf and no extra crew member. We are stuck with just the 2 wolves and 1 crew member and 1 boss per chariot. Still not a bad way to get an 18 inch charge!

Can you put a night goblin in a chariot? "A goblin Big Boss may ride a wolf (+12 pts), gigantic spider (+40pts) or may ride in a goblin wolf chariot, displacing one of the shariot's normal crew (+ 60 pts). A night Goblin big boss may ride a Great Cave Squig (+50 pts)."
I think only goblin big bosses can ride the chariot. Not Night Goblin Big Boss. There is a difference between the Goblin and night goblin. Unless your group allows it, it seems it goes to regular goblins only.
I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine, and he shall be my Squishy.
