I have been building my Orc army and am stuck on which support units to use for my Orcs - (2X23 Orcs and 1X18 Black Orcs) I am limiting my choices to Arrers or Regular Goblins for theme.
Two units of 10 Orc Arrer Boyz with Music or two 20 Gobbos, Lt Arm,Shield and Music. Points are not much of a problem - but which unit would be best.
Size Matters, and Ranks is nice for the Gobbos while the Combat prowess and Toughness of the Orcs is attractive as well (plus it is less models to paint). Shooting is not going to factor in one way or another, but it would give a small bonus.
I already have the Orcs from a Battalion Box - but not the Gobbos, so was trying to save money and time - but If people overwhelmingly believe the Gobbos are the way to go then I will purchase them.
Thanks in advance.
I love this guys site and read it for input alot. I suggest reading the ideas here and applying them to what you have.
Avian - Goblin Units and Characters
Avian - Greenskin Archery
I would probably go with the archers. Seems that the ability to take away a rank bonus from a unit or two would be extra helpfull.
Thanks for the input - that is a very good site. My only concern with arrer boyz is a weak spot in the battle line and panic tests for the other boyz units, if the Arrer boyz fail their panic test or are destroyed.
