What's the point of the big boss on giant squig if he can't join units?
Is it "disruption for 80 points" like the dwarf dragonslayer? Is it the type of character you just hop around, avoiding shooting and attempting to engage in combat ASAP in order to "tangle down" some enemy troops?
If I have misunderstood the boss on giant squig's purpose, please tell me.
smash him into an annoying enemys flank while a unit stops them at the front
I have a paper theory of giving him the map that let's him scout on a 2+, and the exploding bauble (And maybe the one hit wunda), The idea being a entertainingly destructive first turn exploding mess of squig.
Ahh, I'm getting more and more entertained by this every time i think about it.
That or the foot mounted Savage Ork with Bashas Bloodaxe (+1d6 hits)
and either: Guzzlas Battlebrew (Hatred aka rerolls to hit in 4/6 games ).
or Warboss Imbad's Iron Gnasha's (All killing Blows on a six. Including re-rolls.) Not particulary nesseccary, but character killing / Butchering Knights etc. (And challenge with him, why not?)
The general plan being that I sort of launch / release him towards the opponent's line as the rest of the boys look on in admiration, possibly stopping and applauding, as your boss impersonates a fanatic with an axe instead of a ball and chain.
With 3+1D6 killing blow S5 hits for 150 points, or 3+1D6 re-roll to hit S5 hits for 135 points it's fairly pricey. If you wanted to do a ridiculous warboss, it's possible (and all the more attacks / exploding bauble too.)
"Sighs" well, it probably won't win any games, but it'd be a proper laugh.

The purpose was actually to consider this without any specific loadout, unless the total price stays at 100 or lower.
Also, obviously, it wouldn't be a WARBOSS on the squig, but rather a BIGBOSS. Just saying, to clarify things. Since it's not the only lord slot we put on an easily killed, unrealiable bouncy git.
Since a single character with two wounds and low defense stats can EASILY be taken out by a few arrows...Don't make it too expensive!
