So, Gorbad counts as both the General and BSB, but if he takes a wound he has a reduced capacity for both roles, and he seems fairly squishy to me.
Is he worth the points, or should I just take a Black Orc Warboss and Orc BSB and deck them out in similar gear?
I figure the best way to use him, is to put him in a fairly sizable unit of Orc Boar Boyz, and sit him behind the action, but that isn't very orcish at all.
I'd say the best way of using him is in a big orc boyz unit, surrounded by other boyz, going forwards at full speed.

Gorbad gives you an amazingly strong center, wich all orc and goblin generals hope for. If you flank him with 2 units of night goblins with fanatics, your opponent will have to go to great lengths to get to him, and you should be able to capitalize on this without breaking a sweat.
To be honest I prefer Grimgor, or Skarsnik, or seperated roles. Counting him as an extra 200VP seems a bit too dangerous. All eggs in one basket really.
Well, the model is one of the best in the orc and goblin army. It looks imposing.
"Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist"
You know, I never thought about it before, possibly because the only thing anybody ever uses Gorbad for is to show off their painting skills, but... Gorbad doesn't have a Battle Standard. Gorbad... *is* the battle standard. Can you... claim him? if he flees from combat. If he flees then rallies has he.. lost his mojo, effectively?
