I kinda like the vanilla Savage Orc Boyz and really like the Savage Orc Boar Boyz, but it would take way too much money to stand up any decent size unit of either. Has anyone found a way around this?
Blais's Paint Studio-Getting broken armies good soft scores since 2009
Yo, theres a bloke over on "da Warpath"
who put this article up:
But im not too keen on them.
Theres another guy who used green stuff to make capes, but i doubt that'd help with the money side an it'd take ages.
Hmm, bit of a tough one.
I've tended to find normal orcs with two choppas are more reliable than savage orcs.
However, If you want cheap boar boyz, :
I kept all the "Rider" legs from the command sprues (4 currently, want 5th)
I kept the boars from the Chariot in the Battalion box, and inherited another bashed up chariot (Boars all present with parts - good.)
I kept the boar from my orc shamans box (He's going on a wyvern)
One more Orc boyz box and:
5 boars, 5 legs and It's Boars away!
- If you wanted savage one's a bit of filing / converting wouldn't go amiss. Some of the really old arrer boys have good torso's - and ponytailed heads - and the cut off arms can be used on other orcs as conversions (I wonder what i can do with the "V" fingers...)
