Do you use them and how do you use them? Never found a viable reason really, just wondering what everyone else thought about them.
I have 4 snotling bases, I have used them twice. I do not understand how to use them! They act as a swarm not unbreakable? So stubborn on Ld4?
That's not happening eh.
well, they cost 20 points each I think. You can have 20 of them. 400 points and if you put a BO character near them, they are impossible to shift. They also block line of sight. They aren't small and they are immune to psychology. They are the perfect shield.
Well, not just a BO, it would have to be your General.
20 bases of snotlings, get charged, lose combat by 5.
Take a break test on stubborn Ld 4, or generals modified Ld...9-5 = 4.
Maybe it's just me and bad rolls...
see my problem is that for 10 more points, you can have a squig herd which is also immune to psyc, but i think if the snotling shield idea was used in a scenario of some kind it could be immensely helpful to hold.
Ya, snotlings have really been nerf'd for 7th ed, and I can't think of what you would ever use them for. I know of one player that a few of my friends have played against, who has a 'all' snotling army (with some conversions), apparently he does really well in tournaments and what not...waiting for an experienced player to shed some light on the effectiveness of snotlings
Two droids walk into a bar. The bartender says "Hey, we don't serve your kind here.", so they leave.
They're really just a screening unit.
That's pretty much all they're good for.
Now, if you're generallizing snotlings and not just talking about Snotling Swarms, then the Pump Wagon is pretty decent because it will at least kill something or attract enemy fire from the rest of your army.
