I am finnishing my NG army and need a little help about fanatic rules.
Fanatics are released whan NG unit is 8 inch away from enemy..thats clear.
This question might be funny but..what happens whan..lets say..unit of fliers land 4 inch away in normal move?
Does it have to move back to 8 inch or i need just 4 on d6 roll for fanatic to hit target?
Thx a bunch m8.
Or you have to release your fanatics from the edge nearest the opponents unit.
Warboses with little sympathy for their gobbo's can just release the fanatics from the opposite edge, so fanatic goes through your gobbo's (causing hits) before wobbling about in front of the unit. This is a entertaining answer to charging knights (as the laws of momentum don't let them stop) - The knights should hit the fanatic, and it'll die underneath them killing more in it's death throes. then it will "hopefully" not continue to scatter about, posibly hitting your own units.
Khone Chariots, Frenzied Lords and empire knights are prize candidates for this.
